Returned Amazon order, they said I sent the incorrect item

Returned Amazon order, they said I sent the incorrect item

Hi everyone! By end of July I ordered Logitech Brio Cam 4k? after 2 weeks I realized that I don’t need it, open return, reason was "no longer needed" and pay return shipping for it. I sent it at Aug 7, item was received Aug 13. Today morning I get mail from received :
We are writing to let you know that we received an incorrect item instead of the original item, Logitech BRIO - 4K Ultra HD Webcam with 5x Digital Zoom for Recording, Streaming, and Video Calling, in your return of order .
We are discarding the INCORRECT ITEM that you sent. We will be happy to accept the return of the correct item at your earliest convenience.
Our Account Specialist team is unable to provide support via phone or chat at this time, but if you would like to appeal this decision, please reply to this email.

I really don't understand whats happen, I sent original item 100%. Maybe somebody have same problem?

If they won't work it out for your, CC chargeback. They won't be able to prove you returned the wrong item, since they tossed it, which was pretty sketchy of them. Work probably took it himself.
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Thanks for reply! I think all returned items must to open on camera for proof?

but they have lots of cameras monitoring the workers. I don't think they took it.
Op, you might be able to ask for an investigation and they will usually reply within 7 days,.

No security is perfect. Or maybe the worker is just dumb.

OP, are you sure the model was correct when you got it, and not an open box/refurb?

Speaking of Amazon returns, does anyone know how long it takes for Amazon to update the refund status?

I initiated a replacement/return on July 22nd and status is still showing return by September 5th? I have a copy of the Canada Post receipt dating July 23rd... did my return get lost?

CC charging back Amazon is tenuous if you buy a lot from them.

They could ban your account, from what I understand.

I already got the replacement, but the status is showing return by Sept 5th. Do i need to contact customer service chat or will I get double charged when September 5th rolls around?

Thanks I just checked, the only update says "multiple pin"... no clue what that means.

Contact chat and explain it to them. If its lost, its on CP and not you so you shouldnt worry too much as long as you have proof of the receipt. Just email [email protected] as suggested and they should contact you fairly quickly.

the one time i returned something, it was stuck in transit... i chatted with them, they wrote it off and refunded my money.

I mean... there are instructions in the email OP received.
They can escalate by replying to the email they received. Regular support lines wouldn't be able to do anything.
If escalation via email fails I'd definitely email jeff but I'm not sure I'd do that before replying to the original email.

That's just Canada Post being stupid. Amazon usually refunds the day their tracking number updates, but "Multiple PIN" basically means Canada Post issued the same tracking number twice despite having like a quintillion numbers to choose from.

Since you said July some time, I'd definitely email support to see what's going on. Normally this resolves itself when it's delivered but nothing should take a month to deliver unless Canada Post lost it.

I wonder how they discard the item. Imagine if they just throw the stuff in a typical garbage bin.

The item could have been stolen/swapped in transit.

Hi everyone, new message from amazon: Your return for the order #701------ contained the wrong Logitech BRIO - 4K Ultra HD Webcam with serial# 2113LZ08ESN8 instead of the original Logitech BRIO - 4K Ultra HD Webcam with serial# 2113LZ086MM9.

We are discarding the wrong Logitech BRIO - 4K Ultra HD Webcam with serial# 2113LZ08ESN8 that you sent.

We will have to re-charge you for the item if you do not return the correct item.

How it's possible?
