Let me check my crystal ball ...

Yup there it is
Coming into focus now
It says ... CALL THEM

Seriously Dude, what the actual store says regarding Returns is what matters
Not a bunch of randoms on the Internet

NO STORE is obligated to do Refunds or Returns
Each Store ... can do as they please / set own policy
And if it’s a franchise situation ... then it comes down to each Store Manager

Worse case ... no return
And you sell it on Kijiji
Good timing with Christmas around the corner

I doubt it since you already redeemed the game code and the membership so the item is no longer complete. It's like returning 8 pieces of a 10 piece cookware set and keeping 2 of the pots.

Looks like someone was trying to get a free 3 month membership.

I guess there is really no way they can check. Guess for the sales rep to check he will need to try to use the code? Also I don't think the sales there care enough as long as the switch is there no missing parts I doubt they care. But now if the person who purchase your return find out he might bring it up to Nintendo and Nintendo can easily track that you use the code and possibly ban your nintendo account.

Just return it. They won't check and care.

Hi there,

They won't take it back. It is consider a video game and once that's open, no return. Most retailers don't take open video games, as you can't resell it.

Not to mention the code is tied to the system, there is no way they will be able to sell it. This is why I hate people like you, abusing the system and wondering why return policies are getting more tougher and tougher...

It's Walmart I doubt they will check the digital code. If it was a physical disc, different story.

Tough crowd ?

It’s an ACCEPTABLE non mother tongue / 2nd language error

It’s the craziness of spelling / pronunciation of the OUGH unit in English words ...

Try these on for size ... and try to explain the anomaly

OUGH
Through ... pronounced as thru ( oo )
Rough ... pronounced as ruff ( uff )
Cough ... pronounced as coff ( off )
Bough ... pronounced as boue ( oue )
Dough ... pronounced as doe ( owe )
Or
Bought ... pronounced as bot ( ott )

While it’s direct rhymer is tot ... TAUGHT
Whereas ... taught ... gets the A missing from BOUGHT

Gotta love the crazy English language

Okay.. unfunny I guess
You know what, English isn't my mother tongue either.
It's a very irregular language. Still, easier than many other (gender noun, voiced/voiceless consonants, tone, non latin character.. )

Sure, the OP sucks, but you think he spent $500 to scam a $10 membership?

He's looking to get a full refund, so he wouldn't be spending anything assuming the refund request worked.

It’s highly YMMV but I think Walmart considers video game consoles as video games. That means once open, you can’t return it anymore. Honestly you probably should have done more research before buying it.
