Revoked Out of Province Alberta

Had a Peace Officer Revoke my Out of Province Inspection in AB,
List of 3 Obvious things that need to be fixed.
What are my rights in terms what to do next ? And the Garage that carried out the Inspection ? I contacted them and they want to relook at it.

I would think your first course of action is to deal with the shop that did the inspection and see what they will do for you. It seems like they are willing to do this too, so unless you want to pay to have another shop look at it I would go with them first.

It's my understanding that the shop will now be inspected themselves because of this so they will most likely want to play ball.

Peace Officer? Is that the police?
Depends on why the safety was revoked. What did he think was so wrong? You need to be more precise.
Your first course of action is to get the shop to re-inspect. What they find, of course, will be up to to get repaired.

What are the 3 obvious things ?
When was the out of province inspection completed ?
When did the police pull you over ?
What prompted the police to stop you ?
Were you still running out of province plates ?
Vehicle registered in Alberta now ?

Imported Vehicle
Alberta Transport came and inspected the vehicle and has Peace officer powers.
Had been hassling me to Inspect it . Probably would eventually been pulled over anyway.

High Mount brake lamp not visible to 250m
Battery Lose in Mount
Vehicle not equipped with neutral safety switch switch
(Visual Inspection only)
Vehicle status to be returned back out of Province Active
IS Alberta registered but not valid at the moment
August 11th was when the out of Province was carried out

They are obviously watching the garage or you. And sounds like it has been in province for a bit before inspection.

Issues sound fairly simple except it not having neutral safety switch. Take it back to inspecting garage and let them have a look and fix + do a thorough inspection.

Is the vehicle from the U.S. ?? And is it a truck ??

Is this a car?
Battery loose?
"Vehicle not equipped with neutral safety switch switch " What is that?

Not too likely that an AT vehicle is not equipped with a neutral safety switch unless someone intentionally removed it.

More likely that Alberta Transport official could start the vehicle in any gear and couldn't readily verify presence of a switch from quick glance in the engine bay or underneath.

Not an expensive fix, nor is fixing the battery holder and putting a fresh bulb in the high-mounted stop lamp (or cleaning it).

Work with the inspecting garage to minimize the cost.

In BC, the person signing the inspection form can receive a fine for improper inspection. Maybe not for the light, but for the battery and safety switch.

So it has not been approved or registered in Canada?
What German car? You embarrassed? :) Opel? Trabant? Taunus?
Honestly, if you want help form this community, you need to provide more and clearer information.

VW T4 (Eurovan) any vehicle over 15 years can be registered in Canada provided it can pass out of Province

It was registered in Alberta. Now the registration is invalid
