There is absolutely no mention of it being $25 only in the physical/digital flyer. The variable ones are excluded however, as mentioned in my OP. How convenient for them that they don't have any $25 GC's to sell AND that's what head office allegedly says the promo is only for AND the fine print also indicates "No rainchecks".

If there is a mistake in their flyers, they are supposed to place a message at the entrance of the establishment indicating that there was a mistake/typo/etc. in the flyer and that the 10% discount only applies to the $25 cards. If no such correction notice is there, I would ask for a manager.

If you want to pursue this further, Rexall's customer service number is 1-877-378-4100.

Anyone else told the same thing?

We use these primarily for gas. AT the CT cashier, they take the GC and swiped it. No entry of any PIN. I always keep the receipt with the card balance, with the card. This way if there is a loss of balance, I always have the last receipt.
i do the same but i don't believe this addresses the problem others have brought up, if i understand it correctly, that the balances are being swiped before one even purchases the card.
i've bought quite a few of these cards before without any issue but this problem is giving me pause now.

I've had CT cards comprised in the past, but from SDM promotions. Rexall has been good; the last time they had all the cards behind the counter.
FWIW CT sent me new cards after I sent them the receipt... so save those receipts, in fact, take a picture with your phone, thermal receipts can fade.

There are cards that have fixed denominations ($25, $50, $100, etc). Or you can buy a variable load card that you can decided how much money to put in when you pay for it at the cashier.

I bought cards that showed $25-500. I loaded $500 on each card, and still got the discount.

Need to buy more. Use these for gas. It's good to get 10% off gas.

This is, until I get the Tesla Model 3.

The last time these cards were on sale at the RCSS I bought $2,000 worth. From the $2,000, $1,400 worth of cards showed zero balance.
I freaked and call it in and CT sent out replacement cards right away. Not a nice situation to be in but CT did come through in the end.

Should mean the blank ones (cannot use).

It varies what you load on them, aka you choose.
It has to be those cards with the set amounts on them.

Cards with fixed amount are eligible like $25 or $50. There are also variable amount gift cards where you can load random amount. Variable load are not eligible for 10% off.

We do the same thing. Its amazing how many folks dont know or associate the discount on the CT gift card to the gas bars. In alberta now with regular gas at about 1.04 you get 10c off per litre plus 4c flat on top with the CT money card. THats .14c/L. THe gasbars would be backed up everyday. I laugh when I see all these Shell and Esso posts talking about 6 or 7c savings............

I confirm that "variable load" CT giftcards ($25-500) are also ringing in at 10% off, despite what the flyer says. At my store, all fixed denomination CT cards where sold out this morning, but they still had variable ones. I told the cashier to load $50 on it, the total rang as $45. I went back and loaded another one with $100, paid $90 for it. Thanks to OP and to users arrgh and zeeshee.

maybe for some high perfomance car needing extra octane but CT does'nt make their fuel in the back of the store..... only so many refineries around and our multiple cars been running like clockwork regarding fuel for years.........
