Even with 12% back, Rexall is still more expensive than most other places.
If they want to compete with SDM, it needs to be close to 40% back like 20x days, and they need to start carrying electronics for people to redeem those points on.

*yawn* The only reason a lot of people went to Rexall was because of Air Miles. The new in house program is underwhelming and confusing.

Wait, there's no more air miles here? UGHHHH. Like Ron above, we only went because of Air Miles.

I wonder how much that's going to hurt them

Looks to me that even with the bonus points in their new system, they are still more expensive than other stores. Even looking around on whats in flyers at other stores this week... Chunky soup 2.50 each, but 1.66 at some other stores. Leclerc biscuits 3.00 each, but 2.00 at some other stores... So there is no real reason to ever shop at Rexall. Even SDM is cheaper, especially with their 20x and other offers.

It's true their new loyalty program is underwhelming. But last weekend I went to buy eggs and was surprised they were $2.29/dz, and limit of 3. In SDM, most weekends they are $2.69 and limit of either 2 or 1.

Well ... if you're getting 20x points, you're paying $1.88. 🤭

If you're just comparing eggs, rather than buying lots of SDM overpriced stuff, it is still $2.69. Eggs at SDM used to have one of the best prices, no more.

Yeah their new program sucks, and the value is a lot less then before...12% is nothing. They used to have frequent 33% promos... Then it was just barely worth shopping there as long as you carefully selected what you bought you could come out ahead.

Ive shopped there a lot the last year, When they have sales, I find them good. If you do their survey and get $5 off the next purchase. And as well, they sometimes get a $10 off coupon if you spend $30, and you can combine the two.

Ive walked out of there with a lot of on sale stuff I needed for $15
