RFD Discord Server

The idea has been tossed around every now and then but nothing has come of it yet. We're focusing on making more improvements to the website right now but in the future we may add Discord into the mix.

Wouldn't that redirect people to Discord which defeats the purpose of RFD website and app?

I use Discord quite a bit personally but I suspect something for RFD would end up super spammy and with a billion channels essentially replicating the forums. Then you have to worry about linkbacks with referrals and all that stuff too. I just don't see how it would really work other than being a hangout for people from the site.

I like the idea of maybe having little community hubs like a discord for the Gaming subforum or something along those lines but obviously it wouldn't be an official endeavor.

I just registered to say that please don't do this. It's gonna just become a mess.
