RFD gurus can anyone recommend a real estate lawyer?

Hi RFD community,

I am a FTHB so the whole process is very new to me. I am wondering if anyone can recommend a reliable lawyer for my condo purchase who also doesn't break bank?

My friend initially recommended a lawyer whom he paid $900 for but she has recently increased her fee to $1200 + HST. If anyone can recommend anyone with a lower fee but does reliable work that would be great!

$900-1200 plus disbursement is quite normal.

Yes im looking to find one that is on the lower end of 900-1200..

$300 savings amounts to 0.1% at $300k purchase price or 0.04% on the average Canadian home. Not even sure you'll ever notice the difference after a few weeks so don't waste too much time searching!

That is true too..Yeah I want something that is on the cheaper end but I definitely won't sacrifice reliability and trustworthiness of the lawyer.

I’ve recently closed two transactions with Harriet Altman. I know some people haven’t had great experience with her but mine were flawless.
