I don't know how the Raptors right now are that different than the one the started the season. I can figure out that they were shooting lights out for the first 31 games, probably the best ceiling these guys were every playing, and I figure that guys are banged up right now (noticed in the Open Gym episode Lowry wincing touching his right knee), but it seems like they are collapsing right now and even more than the mini slump earlier on. It seems almost in a dire situation right now, Lowry at least knows he's trash right now, but DeRozen is not passing the ball and becoming predictable for teams and it feels like they are regressing like crazy these past few weeks.

But I also feel that Masai should not touch this team right now. Let whatever happen (good or really bad) happen and make the moves in the offseason. This will give him a great look to see what each person/player/coach is made of and if they have the will to turn it around like all good teams do, evaluate what isn't working, etc. This team needs to battle through this rough patch and better themselves, coaching and players. Coach has to keep his players accountable and not have DeRozen or Lowry playing hero ball too often. Coach has to run some darn plays and not left the players free reign. Ball has become stagnant, beginning of the season they were passing more, now its usually 1 or 2 passes with little picks or cuts and little off ball movement. Lowry may have gotten a bit too cocky with his all star selection and needs to settle down and get his team involved in making the right passes. Any way all I know is that Masai is going to make some moves in the off season, coaching related or player related. Too bad we couldn't get George Karl, but Masai elects to go with team chemistry for now.

1st in division
2nd in the east
8th overall

The west has 6 teams better than the easts 2nd best team LOL

Will the league ever smarten up and have a top 16 playoff rather than 8 and 8?

Apparently our guards shot roughly 35% in the month of February. We need to get the ball moving more and get our bigs involved more. More driving to the hoop, less jump shots for starters.

DD would be a 3rd or 4th option on a contending team. It just sucks that Lowry is also a 3rd or 4th option. Suck that those guys are our 1st and 2nd options.

It's beginning to look like the Raptors are going to finish in 3rd or 4th this season - Atlanta and Cleveland will finish ahead of us, and then it'll be a toss up between us and the injury-prone Bulls to see who snags 3rd. It also looks like Washington and Milwaukee are going to end up in 5th and 6th, so our Raptors will likely be facing one of them in the first round...

What do you guys think of this? We're 3-0 against Washington this season, and 2-1 against Milwaukee, so we appear to match up well against both teams. Which team would you rather face?

We should have faced Washington in the first round last year. Would have easily made it to round 2 as well.
