Nice find!

My fingers are crossed for a sale on "The Edge Of Nowhere".

Odd, a lot of those games have been much cheaper on Steam before, and are more likely to work better for people who may also own a Vive and/or WMR headset as well.

The best deal on that list seems to be "The Assembly".

Welcome to the VR Club!!!

There's currently nothing really good on sale on the Oculus Store at the moment, hopefully that will change as the sale progresses.

Steam is having a pretty nice sale until Feb 19th, lots of Oculus compatible VR games, some are AAA titles.

Don't forget the freebies as well, here's the list from free to most expensive....go nuts!

This varies with each sale, I don't think games "monotonically" fall in price across all platform. Few games on the current Steam sales were cheaper during Oculus winter sale.

I think that is game specific, sometimes going through the Steam API messes up the game or steam version missing couple of Oculus specific optimizations/fixes (especially for controller support) for that reason some devs would hand Oculus keys for complaining steam purchasers. Some went as far as just offer the key outright without even being asked http://robotinvader.com/deadsecret/steam/, but yeah given good feedback about Oculus compatibility on Steam I would go for the Steam version for future proofing.

Owning all three current VR HMD's (Rift, Vive & WMR) I generally try to buy most of my VR games from Steam for general comparability sake.
I have bought quite a few games from the Oculus Store over the last few months, as some of their sale prices have been too good to pass up, plus I tend to use the Rift the most.

When using the Rift with Steam purchased games, you can sometimes bypass Steam VR by launching the game directly from the Steam games library (not from within Steam VR) and selecting the Oculus Rift specific API.
This is if the dev has included the Oculus API in the Steam version of the game, which more and more seem to be doing.

This works extremely well for having true Oculus support rather than having to run it through Steam VR, and I've seen it offered for games such as Assetto Corsa, Project CARS, and others.

On the flip-side, I've also had a lot of success running my Oculus Store purchased games with the Vive & WMR HMD's from within Steam VR using Re-Vive.

These days things generally work for all HMD's once you decide which approach to take when launching a game.

The only thing which is questionable is whether the Rift & Vive will be able to play any WMR MHD specific games....I should try to see if I can play that Halo game on either of those headsets.

Thanks for the tip.

For $21 it's pretty good, I have it but haven't had much time to play anything lately.

Chronos, Edge of Nowhere and Arizona are my next playthroughs once I am done moving.

I found this performance tweak info on Steam, which may work the same on the Oculus specific version by editing the "GameUserSettings.ini" file.
Props to the original author:

"The game also supports both API's here on Steam , no selector though, when you launch the game from steam it launches in whatever headset you have attached , No Steam VR required if you have a Rift and Oculus Home running.

Great game a must have, single player is very good , one of my personal VR favourites. I haven't played multiplayer yet, might do once I complete the game with all characters.

If you do buy the game you might want to change the display resolution in the games ini file , the games default res on desktop is too high.

You can find the game ini here:

C:\Users\Yourname\AppData\Local\RawData\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini.

These are my own settings, you can obviously change to what you prefer , this definitely helps with perfomance.

GL hope this helped."

Too funny!
I've just returned from the Microsoft Store where I did an exchange/upgrade from a Lenovo Explorer to a Samsung Odyssey.
They were really cool about it too, as it's been a while since I had bought the Lenovo, as in back during Black Friday.
I figured that since the Samsung is currently $100 off, if they were willing to do the upgrade it is well worth the extra $200 over the Lenovo.
Still suprised they went for it, but not complaining at all.
I'm looking forward to testing out a bunch of Oculus games to see if the hype on this Samsung is real.

It looks like they've revamped the sale today, lots of new deals, too many to list, and some pretty good $1+ cheapies.

So far I've grabbed "Tractorball" for $2.89 & "Mount Wingsuit" for $6.99.
$10 for a couple of interesting games with some decent replay-ablity...not bad!

Sigh....still no "Edge Of Nowhere". Disappointed But Relieved Face
I'm gonna start calling that game "Deal Of Nowhere". Winking Face

Fingers crossed for another mid-day Deal Of The Day refresh.
