road trip for 3 or 4 days canada only?

mother in law is coming and we want to take her to see something nice in canada. we have a 8 month old who will be around the 1 year old mark at the time of the trip. can anyone suggest anything other then ottawa/montreal/niagara? we need to stay in canada.

Go up the Bruce peninsula., night in Tobermory, cross to Manitoulin island,, nt there, come back down Georgian bay?
