Isn't there always a valid 5% code floating around for RockAuto?

-Read store exceptions before combining discounts with cash back sites
-Stocktrack.ca and homedepot.ca do not show clearance pricing for HD even if the item is on clearance.

Yeah there's always a 5% code available. It's one of the few instances of those coupon code sites actually working.

Yes: rockauto-coupon-2138847/7/

Don't beat up on the OP. This is a decent gesture to share but not a hot deal.

OP: move your code to the linked thread and mods should delete this thread.

Cheers! And thanks for sharing.

Being out west, ordering from Rock Auto has been a challenge with shipping. orders have been split coming from multiple warehouses which incurs multiple charges. for example, i have ordered wipers as they have had rubber ones ,door lock motors, hydraulic lifts for hood and rear hatch.i have yet to see for myself when ordering a left and right part for my vehicles that they both are shipped from the same place. they have a nice catalog but terrible shipping options for me.

They show where the parts are being shipped from before you place your order. It is up to you to pick parts shipped from the same warehouse if that is what you want. Prices are very competitive and parts are genuine, try going to the dealer if you think paying for shipping hurts your wallet.
Best part ? No customs fees, no hidden charges. And shipping is extremely fast.

In some occasions yes. You really need to watch for the part options they give that ship from the same location.

The stuff from rock auto is always cheaper than the local discount parts places. In some cases it’s half the cost even including shipping. I’ve ordered at least 20 times and never been disappointed.

Best place to go for auto parts imo. I've had orders come in within 2 days, most are 3-4 using FedEx shipping.

My process:
(1) Add all the different brands & lines of the same part you would be fine with getting.
(2) Repeat for all the parts you need.
(3) Go to the cart and figure out which warehouse would be able to supply most/all of what you need.
(4) Delete the parts from different warehouses.
(5) Delete duplicate parts if not required.
(6) If there was a single part that was only available from a warehouse that didn't have the majority of your parts, order it somewhere else (NAPA, Canadian Tire, Amazon, etc.)

It works best if you aren't tied to having a particular brand or even matching brands.
It would be nice if they setup drop shipping in Canada. I would be fine with waiting a month for parts if I can get exactly what I want with cheap shipping.

There's a place on the order where they ask how you heard about RockAuto - that's where you enter the code.

No they charge tax/small duty on orders.
Now if you have issues with something its not always easy to deal with them.Customer service is 50 50. If you look on you tube you see some of the issues with rockauto but most of the time its good.

Ordered from them tons of times.

Last was an entire brake replacement job and even with $90 shipping and duties it was still like almost $200 cheaper than buying locally/Canada.

Just bananas.

You can sometimes find better deals at eBay, like for like.

I recently bought kyb suspensions on rockauto, and dorman stabalizer links on ebay.

I made sure I had purchased from a reputable parts seller, with the corresponding make/model of the replacement part. There is always a guarantee, and I have always (as far as I can recall) always got everything as described and in good time.
