Rogers 4k TV question

Hey guys, I'm wondering if any of you can confirm that this is true:
By requesting the 4KTV service, you cannot be receiving any discounts or promotions on your cable TV service so the existing promotions you may have will be removed. This is also the case if you are interested in the 1Gbps Ignite internet service.

That's terrible news if it is indeed true! I'm getting a great promotion right now and there is no way I would risk losing it just to get a few Blue Jays games in 4k!

I find that very odd. They only have one 4K channel and it's just for Jays games right now. No one is going to pay a non-promotional price for all their Rogers services to get that. I couldn't find anything on the Rogers site about that either.

It seems to me that all you need to do to get 4K from Rogers is to just pay for the rental of their 4K box on top of whatever you are paying now. I have a 4K tv and I have to say that I'm in no rush to get the new box just to watch Jays games.
