Rogers 5G Performance in Toronto

I know it's relatively early days for 5G, but has anyone had the opportunity to connect to Rogers 5G network in Toronto? What were your impressions in regards to signal strength and speed?

Seems like will be a while before it's significantly better than LTE...
Those seem like LTE speeds

I should have run a few tests...even at home speeds can vary from one test to another, etc

Curious, what does anyone need speeds above 100Mbps on their smartphones for? Aside from doing hot spots and speed tests, what use is any greater speeds when almost all use cases require less than 50mbps? How often are people downloading large files these days with limited max speed buckets? Isn't the norm streaming?

they dont need it.

even when i was on publicmobile, the speeds were good to the point where i could stream raptors game at 720p with 0 lag (using sportsnet/tsn apps).

That’s weird because I regularly get almost 300mbps on Koodo, definitely above 100mbps. I even got 500mbps when I had a Galaxy S10+ with Qualcomm modem

I'm also on Koodo and none of my devices can hit 100Mbps.

300 mbps would not be LTE , are you sure you were not on wifi?

according to this https://www.opensignal.com/reports/2020 ... experience
When we look at Download Speed Experience by technology type, Telus maintains its lead in 4G Download Speed with a score of 80.5 Mbps. Bell Mobility's 4G speeds are slightly lower at 76.3 Mbps.
