Got the same plan discussed.
2 lines....
Iphone xs 256gb for $229, $530 credit incl activation, $80/month for 10gb and canada wide call and unlmtd txt.

My plan is to sell the 2 new iphone xs 256gb for $1700 and put it towards my plan. As i currently have an iphone x 128gb.

After crunching the numbers, my monthly plan will be $33 after tax by doing this, compared to my existing public mobile plan of $45 after tax. Saving me about $290 over 2 years and giving me a 5gb data bump. On each line.

Once i get the phones im gonna call in again saying i have buyers remorse (like someone in this thread did) and see if theyll offer me a bigger phone for free. Lol
$1700 eh, you think they can be sold for that much?

i got a call from winback today, they are offering 25% off the 100 dollar 10 gig plan so 75 bucks but the highest he would go is a 400 dollar credit with the s9+. I told them i would only leave koodo for a 500 dollar credit but he wouldn't bite.

edit: They called again and offerd 20% off and the 500 dollar credit. I didn't take that deal either.

I called yesterday morning and they called me back in the evening.

Plans:
2 plan options 10/84 and 6/? (I didn't find out the price as I wasn't interested). Also offered 20gigs for $130 minus 20%.

Phones:
Pixel 3, 3 XL, and Huawei P20 pro $0 up front and $350 credit

Huawei Mate P20 Pro $249 up front $450 credit

Credits an be used all at once or spread out over 24 months.

No activation fees.

Can't decide on what phone. Originally just wanted the P20 pro but for the price a $0 pixel 3 xl is fantastic. I think I'm going to ask if the Huawei Mate can come down to $100 or so (wishful thinking) and if not go with the pixel 3 xl? Thoughts?

Since I've noticed that they're the ones calling, does it mean that if I cancelled and didn't keep my number, I won't have a chance at winback?

With these discount plans they are offering, after the 2 years that 25% drops off and you're back to regular right? I know, of course, then you can always negotiate a new plan, or they may be better deals anyhow.
Left for Koodo last December, never received a winback call, may try to call them and see what happens, but looking at Koodo deals, currently can get S9 Cert. Preowned for $0 up front, medium tab of $15. So $360 all said and done. Don't have to switch back, have found Koodo coverage to be a bit better than Rogers... So many decisions...

I'm currently with koodo and the free phone with the credits is a tempting offer but i'll only save 80 dollars over 2 years vs getting the s9+ with koodo. For me it's not worth the hassle of dealing with rogers and then hoping i can find a 60/10 plan again once the discount expires.

If we decide to just cancel the contract in a month or so, do we keep the $500 credit for the phone? Agreed to the $80/10gb iPhone XS Max deal for $189

Just so you know, I called the number, left my name and number yesterday. By 10 am today, they called me back, and I locked in the same deal on 4 phone lines. Thank-you for the heads up! AWESOME!

All they're desperately doing is trying to get rid of older phones.
If they want your business bad enough, they could at least offer an S9plus for that. (instead of the S9)
Nice try though.
I called the number, left my information, and the next day they called me back, and we got Pixel 3 XL, and Pixel 3. So you do get new phones too.

I'm sure this has been covered already, but I'd appreciate if someone could advise... Does this plan have any tab of any kind, to subsidize future hardware upgrades? Or is the deal on the phone just a one-time thing, then you're totally on your own to pay the full hit 2 years down the road?
