Rogers Box with DVI Monitor/Sound?

Hi, I have a Rogers HD box with HDMI output and DVI monitor.

I connected the box and the monitor using HDMI to DVI cable and the picture comes out clear but no sound.

Since the monitor doesn't have any speakers, what do I need to do to get the sound to come out? Do I need to purchase an adapter? I initially thought if I connect the white and red audio cable in the Rogers box, the sound will be resolved.
