Was offered $84.99 when my current deal expired. Set up a cancellation date mid last month for Nov. 10. Got the retention email within the next few days. Called in yesterday and in less than 5 mins with no countering was offered Gigabit for $59.99 or 500U for $54.99. One year price guarantee and no contract.

So last time I tried to renew my parent's plan, I was offered $39.99 for 500u and $34.99 for 300u. I thought I was going to take the 300u plan today but I was able to get the 500u plan for $34.99 via online chat. Basically, my parents received the email that said their plan will be $44.99 once their current plan of $27.99 expires without having to do anything. The agent then said he applied a $10 credit for the next 12 months so it will bring the price to about $39.54 tax in. The only caveat is that my internet will change to the new plan now instead of after the expiry date but it's worth it.

L5B postal code. Currently paying: $42.94 per month for 150u Ignite internet expiring on 1st Jan 2020.
Went to Rogers live chat asking for price after current promotion is over. Was told $125.42 including taxes after promotion is over. Asked to set termination date for 31st Dec 2019. I was then offered:
a) Ignite 300u for $50.84 (including taxes)
b) Gigabit for $62.14 (including taxes)
Picked up Gigabit offer. I am an IT professional and work from home. I can use all the speed they can offer. Also my condo building currently supports Rogers and teksavvy so don't have much leverage.
Asked them to start new package from today and I will go this evening to swap modem.

Just contacted the field rep I signed up with in 2016 and he told me that they are no longer offering legacy tv as they have shifted to ignite. Don't have much options as I my area is not serviced by FTTH for Bell so can't leverage anything.

Trying to set my mom up with a deal - she currently has TV/Internet/Phone with Bell and they nickle and dime her all day. If any reps are around, she's in postal code K2J.

I had the old offer that was expiring tomorrow. Called in and was offered the 1Gbps for $62.14 all in as well. They would not budge on that price and indicated they cant renew the old offer. Ended up going with what I got...
Anyone have any luck getting the old offer renewed?

The codes still work if escalating.
Why not bluff them?

After the cancellation request, within 2 days I saw an imbedded message banner on webpages when I was using my browser on my computer. The massage contains a code for “a special offer”.shane716 wrote: ↑Currently have $33+tax for 500u and it's expiring soon
Called in to cancel and was offered $50+tax for 500u or $45+tax for 300u
I declined and proceeded with the cancellation request.
They did say if I change my mind I can call them back and still get the above offer. I will see if retention will call me back, If not I guess I will call them again for the $45/300u offer.
Now a week has passed and I decided to call in and mention the code to see what they can offer.
The rep gave me $29.99 + tax for 500u without me saying anything else. I took it right way.
So I’m happy for now until I have to do this all over again next year.

Hey y'all, can I run a little something past you?
Long time Rogers customer here. Current deal I'm on is 150u internet, home phone with a feature or 2, and starter cable package.
I own 3 old school (pre-NextBox) PVRs.
I pay $117/month for this right now on a retention plan.
I got an offer from Telus for wireless home phone recently for $10/month. I thought I'd call Rogers billing to see if I cancelled my HP, what that might do to my bundle discounts. I got transferred to retention.
They put together 2 offers (both including 3 Ignite box rentals and waived $150 installation fee):
Do you guys think this is a good deal? Can I do any better? How?
Thanks in advance!

You should be able to push for Premier rather than Popular and 500U rather than 150U plus the home phone for the same price.TheBull wrote: ↑ Hey y'all, can I run a little something past you?
