*Was given a $5.2 x 12 lump sum last month to offset the 20% off internet to make it almost 30% off.
We might cancel cable if this deal cannot be renewed at the end of the term as we will start streaming more now since our bandwidth is unlimited

Also tried again to get W45 unlimited or even W35 but said they cannot give it. 4th time today and now ill just completely leave rogers at the end of my term

So for those of you that have signed up for this, would you recommend this over Teksavvy's 28/1 for $46.99? I called in today and a rep gave me a case number to call back and activate this plan in the next few days if I decide to go for it, but I'm not sure what I want to do. For anyone that has experience with both providers, how would you say they compare? Specifically in downtown Toronto.

I am with Teksavvy right now, and I think it's the choice between extra 100GB bandwith and better speed, especially for upload, also with slightly lower monthly charge. I think I will go for the later, as I hadn't ever use more than 200GB per month, and for this there is no contract attached. For me, another problem to stay with Teksavvy is that I have to upgrade my modem to be able to use the 28/1 package. So, I decided to give rogers a try, and hope they are not that bad in terms of customer service.

It would help if I could actually tell how much data I'm using with bandwidth. There's only 2 of us in the apartment but I have no idea how much we actually use. I supposed I could wait until the TS upgrades and get the same 35/3 plan for 49.99 with the 300Gb cap.

Got offered W35 with 200 gb download cap, good for 8yrs @$45/month plus tax. Do not have/want cable, was only offered 10/month home phone for 6 months, I can get the $45 unlimited if I sign up for cable. I would be a new customer from Bell.

Lol, so much for these plans expiring last month. Quietly in the background they probably would not mind making them permanent discounts to take out the resellers. I wonder if the resellers are going to complain to the CRTC because they are being undercut so hard.

The W45 plan even with 200 gigs beats the comparable plan from both start and tek savvy by $5 and without need to buy hardware (tek does offer 100 gigs more data, so worthwhile for those who need the extra usage). When I got the W45 plan yesterday, I was offered to pay $10 extra for unlimited but I had to get home phone and cable tv as well. The home phone deal was only for 2 years at $10 with two features. I had no interest in buying everything and so the discussion never even got to tv. I am happy enough to get W45 which is priced reasonably as a standalone product.

This is a bit off topic, I wonder why Rogers no longer factor in wireless plans into their bundles. Is this a way of avoiding a price war in an area where they make most of their money?

Will888 said he was offer the $10 unlimited deal with W45 so it looks like you can. Perhaps Rogers made a similar change to the tier code to allow for Extreme unlimited for $55.

I should have asked for plan ID when I spoke to retention. Basically she was trying to offer me the $10 upgrade to unlimited but I had to get all the services as well. I am not sure that the two were packaged together. The way she described it, the unlimited data is separate add on that would be discounted to $10 with a full set of services.

About a week ago when I tried to get the W45 plan, I was sent over to retention and the battle axe that spoke to me denied the plan's existence. She did concoct a one year offer for the express plan with unlimited usage for $66 which included the modem rental fee.

I called today to get the W35 plan and told the rep i am not sure if 80gb was enough, he automatically offered me the W45 with $50 credit. I don't currently have any services with them, he also offered me $15 for home phone w/ 2 features and an additional $50 credit. I reluctantly declined since i am using voip.ms.

Hi which one is a better deal, this one or the 35$ one? I have about 4 people total in the house if that matters.

How do I call for this deal? Do I just ask them about a 45$ deal for 8 years? I have been with shaw for over 6 years. Can I also bundle this with my TV?
