[Rogers] Google Daydream View VR for $49.50

Was looking at Pixel 2 prices on Rogers, and just came upon this Daydream view VR headset for $49.50 for the month of October.

Price low enough to try it out.

Not able to buy it. I get a bunch of garbled webcode. Anyone else?

This is a great deal - I've been following prices on open box/used ones on eBay and they all work out to $60-75 shipped to Canada. Best Buy sells for $79.99 on sale so you can PM there for $46.45. This is a no brainer if you've got a compatible device and want to tinker with VR.

Chrome wouldn't work for me, but Internet Explorer seems to.

I tried my friend's daydream and have a Gear VR. Daydream isn't as comfortable or immersive (doesn't block as much light) but tracking seemed good and portability I think is it's biggest strength. Seemed like library was comparable too. For this price it's great to get into VR.

This is 1st gen (older model) Daydream view for sure!!

The Daydream View launched in a "Slate" color option. Two new color choices, "Crimson" and "Snow", became available on December 8, 2016.

The second-generation Daydream View was unveiled during the Made by Google 2017 event. For the first time, it is available in three colors, namely: Charcoal, Fog, and Coral. It is largely similar to the first-generation, with a few improvements, including a new design and wider field of view. It is to be released on 19 October 2017 and will have a launch price of US$99.

The one from Rogers is the Slate colour.

Thanks. Got one for the Axon 7. Now I guess I will have to consider updating the phone to Nougat.

That sale price ends Oct 12 so if you wait to tomorrow when it goes back to regular price, your PM will be even better

I tried it before and it is comfortable compared to other cheap VRs or Samsung VRs. It still gives me a headache though. Not as good as PSVR

Don't learn from me, I ordered one from Rogers and then BestBuy in the hope of PM. Later on I find out cancelling an order with Rogers is impossible, I can only refuse the delivery and expect a refund later on.

Buyer beware - Bestbuy accepts returns for refunds only on unopened VR headsets, so if you are planning to just try and return if you don't like it think twice.
