[Rogers] Ignite Internet 1.5 Gigabit for $44.99 12 months term (Original $124.99)

Prices may vary between different areas but I'm located in Markham.

I contacted Rogers live chat today for two of the accounts I look after and was able to get the Ignite 1.5 Gigabit plan for $44.99 after $80 off on the original price for both. I didn't have any promotions expiring yet but just decided to see what's available right now.

Update: I was able to get the Ignite 2.5 Gigabit plan for my wife's condo at $54.99 also located in Markham.

I'd love to take this. Are you in a house or a condo?

About a month ago I got 1.5Gbit for $55 as per the last thread from December. Lots of people seemed to vary by $5-10 on what deals they got for some reason.

That's a great deal. Can you share any details? Corp store/3rd party/chat? Condo/House? Area?
Thanks in advance.

This is to compete with Bell that just offered 1.5GB for $50 -- which has better upload speed but similar deals obviously. If Rogers had this a couple weeks ago, I wouldn't have switched.

Is this if you have internet only or would this apply in a bundle as my promo is coming due?

I’m switching to bell tomorrow but that’s because of bad service from rogers

I think I don't get this kinda deals because Rogers is the only fiber provider in my area, so they screw me, I pay $90 for 1GB which is ridiculous. Not sure why Bell wouldn't invest in covering fiber here in Bramalea.

Just be glad you don't live out West... $90 for gigabit internet is ridiculous?!? We only wish for your regular pricing....

I got rogers 1.5gbps plan for 50$ and 100$ credit as we don’t have bell fiber cable in my surrounding but the person who came for installation mentioned in my area the rogers have only 1 Gbps max speed. Then I’m not sure how they selling 1.5gbps plan

I don't have fibre in my area, but I still got Rogers 1 Gbps for $50/month plus $150 bill credit through Costco back in November.

Interesting thanks for the heads up. I'm with Rogers now but past promos expired and i'm about to do the Bel/rogers dance to see who has the best deal...I have Bell FTTH at my house so can go either way.

Looks like i'll be calling Rogers and Bell today!

Rogers GB internet speed never reached as Bell solid constant speed. I used to have Rogers GB and tech told me it's up to 1GB. Rogers fiber optic one hub shares 8 house holds. In peak time the speed can go low as 200mb.
