Same for me, but in the contract it stated 1.5Gb and not 2.5Gbbestknightmare wrote: ↑ So i am told i am getting 1.5gb but my email confirmation showing 2.5gb? Anyone else?

Also, initially, they sent me the bill only $29.99. But then later, they corrected to $49.99. I guess I didn't negotiate hard enough as it could be any of those 4 prices: $29.99, $39.99, $49.99 & $54.99

Instead what I do is call current provider and book a cancellation 3-4 weeks ahead- telling them I got better offer from the competitor . Then, in a day or two after that you get a call from the “loyalty” or some kind of “ save” team who offers to match the price. I never actually call the other guys. If nobody calls me ( which didn’t happen yet) I’d still have time to book a new provider or change my mind or whatever during that time. So only one call is needed really.gst416 wrote: ↑I managed to get a similar deal the other day through Winback. I had previously cancelled my Rogers 500u last month after my original promotion period ended. Switched to Bell Fibe 1.5g after seeing the previous RFD thread for 65$. Had that for about a week (didn't even use it at all, since my Rogers was still connected and they provided me with a free month of service). Just called Bell yesterday to cancel my 1 week of service and switched back to Rogers 1.5g for 44.99 before tax (24 months term).
I honestly wished Rogers had just given me this deal earlier so I wouldn't have had to go through the hassle to cancel, switch to Bell, and have the Bell technician be at my property for two hours to install the cable from the city line into my house. But that's out of my control.
I am located in Leslieville

They must have quoted you the wrong price initially. Since you have a bill for $29.99, you should hold them to it and ask them to honour this price.

Damn. I just got my Fido 100/30 for $45. Previously with Carrytel but they are increasing my rate from $45 to $55 crying about inflation and all sorts of other cost increases but they will do me a favor by bumping my 75/10 to 100/30 as an incentive.... No thanks.

Currently on 500u for $54.99, not sure when my promo expires but I imagine it's sometime in the fall. On hold with chat now, let's see where it goes!

I was on 300 plan and just got off the chat with a rep and got the same offer for Ignite 1.5 for $44.99 plus taxes for 12 months. Thanks OP!

Success! Very straight forward with my rep, dropped price down to $49.99 and increased speed to 1.5g. Question for the group; I just did a speedtest on a PC connected to my Orbi mesh router, which is connected to the Rogers modem, and speeds were around 450Mbps. I have a realtek pcie gbe family controller on the PC, so am I limited in speeds in anyway?game_fanatic wrote: ↑ Currently on 500u for $54.99, not sure when my promo expires but I imagine it's sometime in the fall. That's the older xb6 modem, xb7 is white with a slanted top and the xb8 is almost flat.esfandiyar2002 wrote: ↑ Yep, they switch from Hitrom CODA 4582(white) to Ignite Gateway modem(black).

The 2nd bill, they changed the bill to without 2x$10 bundle discounts, hence $49.99. But I looked into details, in the first bill, the discounts ended Mar 1 too. So even if I argue, it would only get me $20 or so
First bill
Second bill

Cool, I have the xb7 then and I could only get to 900Mb. Can I ask them to change my modem you think?shabby wrote: ↑ That's the older xb6 modem, xb7 is white with a slanted top and the xb8 is almost flat.

Oops, silly me. I don't have more than 1Gb network card and no cat7 cable either, so pretty much useless to have more than 1Gb then
