Only in select locations does Rogers have symmetrical GPON. Last I know of is NB, and some locations in Ontario like Markham.

Even 1.5 Gbps down and 50 Mbps would be difficult if couple of people are working from home
Has Rogers run any Fibre in older build Toronto East
Wife and I are wfh and had no issues when we had 150/20 speeds.

I mean "WFH" is such a broad category....you could be just using Word and Excel working from home or you could be a "content creator" streaming...those are very different use cases.

We’re both on video calls throughout the day.
No lag or anything when we’re both on at the same time.

I think paying $10 extra for Bell might be good option for those who need.

My understanding was that Bell has special win back or retention deals for $55

Can't wait if so!!!!
No of course not. If anything prices will go up. Less competition means higher prices. Although in this case I don't think Rogers and Shaw were competing anyways so nothing will change

People who were "upgraded" to the ignite package with new modem, my Rogers account shows cancelled when logging in. Is there a new account created cause we moved to the ignite service?

Has anyone got the $100 bill credit as mentioned 2-3 months after getting this deal? Did it automatically show up on your account?

Reasons to go with Bell : Better upload. , better latency. Is that worth $10 more a month?

I cancelled my bell fiber 1.5gbps yesterday and wingback has called me twice. Their best offer was 90/month for 5 months and then up to 100/month. They won’t come close to rogers $85/month for 24 months for fibe 1.5 that most people seem to be eligible for

Just got off chat with Rogers. Only offered the standard 124.99 for 1.5. No other offers or promotions when I wasn't interested.

Will try again with another agent tomorrow!

So I couldn't get the offer via chat or call. I tried calling 4 times over the last 2 months. The rep even said call back after boxing day they might be able to do better.

My wife got a new account and was able to get 1.5 for 54.99 +100$ credit.

The modem came in one day and today I cancelled my Rogers after I tested it was good.
The below ensued.

Seem all you have to say is I'd like to cancel not even cancel and they will start with the 49.99 offer.

Yes, a new account number was created. If it doesn't show up in the account drop down on the account number field you will have to link the new number.

In my case the number was partially redacted on my new account documentation (xxxx-xxxx-1234), so I had to call in to get the number.

It's not a one time credit in my case. It divided over 12 months.

the Roggers 1.5Gbps offers mentioned on this forum, are they corporate connections using the CODA modem or residential connections with Ignite modem?
