Canada, Eh!!

Rogers MC WE: Trip delay due to health issues non traveller that visiting

So trip interruption/delay would cover health issues for the traveling party.

What if a trip is delayed [I.e. return delayed] because want to stay longer due to hospitalization of the person that visiting; would that be covered?

The way I read the terms it seems not but in case I'm wrong.

This is for Rogers MC WE.

2022/3: BOC raised 10 times and MCAP raised its prime next day.
2017,2018: BOC raised rates 5 times and MCAP raised its prime next day each time.
2020: BOC dropped rates 3 times and MCAP waited to drop its prime to include all 3 drops.

There is indeed a clause that covers Illness / Hospitalization or Death of a HOST you are visiting in your primary destination.

But I think most of that is applied for when a traveller needs to CANCEL AN UPCOMING TRIP … rather than extend one they are on.

My best advice … call the Insurance Provider in this case / Policy it’s CUMUS

More than likely …
It’ll be a situation where some sort of Amendment Certificate can be issued
So coverage can continue to extend one’s stay beyond the original agreed upon timeframe

Whether that’s gonna include a provision
To cover any losses on a CANCELLED PLANE TICKET
Cuz you wish to stay on longer
That’s up to them
And only something they can answer

Call and record conversation.

Would suggest getting confirmation first that eligible and covered before purchasing tickets.

Since Rogers card only makes sense from foreign currency charge for USD presume travel to US?

By car an option?

My guess is …
OP already has tickets in hand
Maybe even is already at Destination

Hence this particular question regarding their Host
And the possibility of getting compensated for cancelling original return
Extending stay
And rebooking at a later date
What if a trip is delayed [I.e. return delayed] because want to stay longer due to hospitalization of the person that visiting; would that be covered?
