Unfortunately that seems to be just one more tactic to lure you in since the total price will be $2000 (probably plus tax)
If you go through with the purchase, you'll see that you have to subscribe for a Data plan of at least $75/mo + $20 of the phone comes to $107.35 / mo with taxes in.
Unless I'm missing something, I wouldn't consider it a hot deal.

Is this part of that Upfront Edge program they have where you return the phone after 2 years? Hence you're just paying $480 + tax to borrow the phone?

$2000 for a motorola?

I'm sorry, the last time they produced a flagship phone, America had a respectable president.

Specs look interesting, but dxomark score is pretty low for a 2020 $2000 phone...

Rogers calling this "financng" is so misleading. The phone isn't independent of the plan.

i got this deal last week with the $80 infinite plan 20gb per month....did a quick research on what other providers are charging for 20gb...did not find anything lower than that....if u need the 20gb data this is not a bad deal at all...$20 x 24month is only $480 for a phone that's in the low $1000...

Great to see data costs in Canada is really trickling down.

No more Motorola phones for me... after their last battery fiasco.

The outright price is pretty decent for a near flagship. The curve screen is so 2017. If after everything is 2k, then it is so not worth it.

Being a Motorola, it's almost the same as a Pixel.

Hey guys, I called Rogers and since I was switching from Fido, they offered me a $50/month deal for 5GB of data.
The phone would be financed at $20/month and I keep the phone after the 2-year term.
Total would be $70/month.

Before pulling the trigger, I did some research on this phone and a lot of people seem to have screen issues where there are green and purple spots. Some people have returned them over 3 times and still have the same issue. Due to this, I did not get the deal.

Not a good deal really...

Perhaps the new Motorola Edge is a better buy when it is released in Canada.

I have ordered it.

Can confirm the following.
- $20/mth for 24 months plus tax
- at end of term I OWN the phone
- added it to my existing $75/mth 20 gb plan
- was existing Rogers client without a contract
- Also got a ZTE FREE tablet with my order
- 3gb additional line INCLUDED at NO CHARGE with tablet

I will post update after I have received the phone

It's more like so 2015.. A Samsung Galaxy Edge phone but a modern version of it. It would have more appeal with those specs if it was a folding screen phone like the Razr

Few things to consider are there's no IP rating, camera is terrible and night shots are even worst, well documented screen issues, Moto is now a Lenovo subsidiary, I don't know if this ownership change resulted in quality concerns.

Did anyone successfully applied d the 30% corporate discount to Rogers new pricing format (phone "financing" independently of the monthly plan)?

It has the best camera sensor on the market in the phone.

The software may not be great, but the camera is amazing. Same camera as the S20 Ultra

I just want to say thanks OP!

I was just able to grab this on a $50/5gb line

$480 for a phone with these specs is by far the hottest deal on a phone right now.
