[Rogers] Rogers Cable Retentions & New Customers Deal Thread! - If new, read OP/thread summary

This thread is for the discussion of Rogers deals for new customers, retention offers, strategies, and requesting offers from Rogers reps on RFD. Discussions of competitors offers, small business promos, etc. should all be done in other threads.

If you're a Rogers rep who can provide offers to the community members of RedFlagDeals, please send me a PM and I'll add your info to this post. You're not allowed to promote your services yourself!

Only NEW Customers can request offers from Rogers Sales Reps on RFD. PM them directly, there is no need to make a post here, they won't see it.

EXISTING Customers need to follow the steps in the thread summary below. There are no retention/winback reps on RFD.

Thread Summary
>>> THERE ARE NO WINBACK/RETENTION REPS ON RFD! <<<< . >>>> ONLY SALES REPS FOR NEW CUSTOMERS <<<

NEW CUSTOMERS:

Please see the first post from TomRFD (Administrator) for the approved reps who can assist only NEW customers.

New customers can request PM’s and will receive offers from the random lurkers on this thread.
Be cautious as there is no way of knowing who you are dealing with through PM’s.
Get everything in writing and ask lots of questions. Ideally, they should have an @rci.rogers.com email.

EXISTING CUSTOMERS:
Be aware that there aren’t any Retention Reps on this thread. Some lurking Rogers Sales reps or Dealers may offer to bend Rogers rules to get you a deal.
As always, buyer beware!

Update December 21, 2023:

Zedd Solutions numbers are no longer working.
The Ambassador Team from Rogers is know handling winback calls after cancellation.
They call from the Main Rogers Number at 1-888-764-3771
I haven't seen a way to reach them directly.

Update July 12, 2023:

We have a working Zedd phone number for inbound calls (1-888-597-0599)
Thanks @chronos

Zedd Solutions Hours of Operation:
M-F: 9:00 to 9:00
Sat: 9:00 to 6:00
Sun: Closed

Update July 10, 2023:

ZEDD SOLUTIONS UPDATE!

As of yesterday, none of the numbers we have for Zedd Solutions is allowing inbound calls. No idea if this is permanent. There is a message identifying that they are a Marketing Company acting on behalf of Rogers Communications.
They then end the message providing the phone number to put them on the Do Not Call List if you wish to do so.

If anyone gets a call from them, please note the number, call back and see if it is also blocked. If not blocked, kindly post the number for members.

From below:
These are the numbers Zedd Solutions calls from:
1-866-225-6772 *** This was the primary number that allowed inbound calls. None of them work anymore.
1-877-398-7162
1-800-419-7266
1-888-992-4344

Update March 19, 2023:

Existing customers are currently getting better pricing than new customers.
The current hot deal is $44.99 for the new 1.5Gbps down and 50Mbps up internet. The 1Gbps tier is no longer available. Most of these offers are from Zedd Solutions, but
they also are available from retentions.
Members are reporting 12 month and 24 month terms. On the 24 month term some folks are saying there is no contract and some are reporting contracts with cancellation fees.
If you get a “no contract” 24 month offer get that in writing.
For Internet and TV good discounts are ranging from $65 to $85.

Zedd Solutions is a Third-Party company hired by Rogers to call customers who have cancelled and offer them Winback deals.
You can call them if you have a cancellation in place with Rogers.
Zedd Solutions calls from: 1-888-597-0599
Some existing customers and customers who left Rogers recently have had luck getting the deal by calling direct. YMMV!

Update November 16, 2022:

Things are looking better now for EXISTING customers. Members are reporting good results.

Be aware that there aren’t any retention reps on this thread. Some lurking Rogers Sales reps or Dealers may offer to bend Rogers rules to get you a deal.
As always, buyer beware!

Here is what is currently working!:

1. Members are reporting that they are getting good existing customer deals through Rogers chat and Facebook messenger chat.
2. Calling into Loyalty/Retentions also yields some decent offers. YMMV
3. If you have to, cancelling also appears to be providing good results again from Zedd Solutions.
----Zedd Solutions is a Third Party company hired by Rogers to call customers who have cancelled and offer them Winback deals.
----Put a cancellation in for a minimum of two weeks out.
.....You must have a cancellation in place to speak to them. If they don’t call back, call them at 1-888-597-0599.
.....If the rep gives you a hard time about cancelling, try someone else. You can set up a future cancellation. It can be reversed. Any fees can be waived.
4. Keeping existing Legacy services is getting much harder, but with persistence, some members have succeeded. Rogers is pushing hard to get everyone off Legacy and on to Ignite.
5. ALWAYS CHECK your MyRogers page as many members have been getting good existing customer deals there. They change often, so if you see a good one don’t hesitate too long.
.....Everyone’s deal will be different.
6. One way to gauge if you are getting a good deal is the discount amount you receive. Good discounts are ranging from $65 to $85.

Rogers Customer Service:
1. First level CSR (Customer Service Rep) - (1-888-764-3771). They will offer you rack pricing.
2. Loyalty/retentions - (1-888-764-3771) choose "change services" OR "cancel services". Depending on your account this is where you may get a good offer. YMMV
If you don’t get a helpful rep, make up an excuse to end the call and try again. Reps have very varied skill sets and experience.
The right CSR may still have access to Digital/Legacy deals. VYMMV

Read recent posts to see what others have gotten.

>>>Please share your results so other members can be better informed and know what to expect in terms of deals from Rogers (indicate if pricing includes tax)<<<

Update September 27, 2022

Member Hungtyh had success reaching Winback after putting in a cancellation request. Others have reported success as well.
Hungtyh wrote: Just want to share the recent call on existing ROGERS plan RENEWAL:
1. Went on the same route: called in to cancel, declined the offer, set up a cancellation request
2. Waited for about a week. No callback
3. Called the 1-888-597-0599 and told them I submitted cancellation request
4. Asked few questions: switching to CIK becoz it’s cheaper, and upset about the outage in July
5. Instantly offered $49.99/month for Giga plan (all inclusive), a discount of $75 for 24 months
6. ACCEPTED THE OFFER

Update April 28, 2022

Zedd Solutions is a Third-Party company hired by Rogers to call customers who have cancelled and offer them Winback deals.
You can only call them if you have a cancellation in place with Rogers.

These are the other numbers Zedd Solutions calls from:

1-866-225-6772 *** This number now appears to be taking call-backs. (9/27/2022)

1-877-398-7162
1-800-419-7266
1-888-992-4344 [/b]

SMALL BUSINESS PLANS

As it says in the Original Post above, this thread is not for the discussion of “Small Business Plans”.
“Discussions of competitors offers, small business promos, etc. should all be done in other threads.”
Small Business Plans should be discussed in separate threads.

If being offered said plans, due your due diligence as sales reps appear to be gaming the system to have these work for residential customers.
These reps are not on the RFD list. Buyer beware.

- They are three-year contracts with ECF (Early Cancellation Fees) of $20 per month.
- The price is supposed to be guaranteed for three years.
- You will be on the Legacy Coda 4582U modem. So, no new Ignite features.
- Get everything in writing.

The thread summary is updated and maintained by me, @cassador
The OP, @TomRFD (Administrator) maintains and updates the first post and approves the list of Rogers reps shown here.

I think the Rogers HDPVR thread is the unofficial retentions thread...

From experience. when calling into Rogers to get a deal or complain about a problem ALWAYS ask to speak to the "cancellations/customer retention" department.

Rogers has oodles of call centres across the country, many that will pretend to have all of the capacity to deal the way the customer retention department can. In short, they do not! I think some of the Rogers call centres that I dealt with before finding this out are/were outsourced.

It helps too whenever possible to be courteous. Good luck!

I've got your cable/internet deals, + I only pay $9.99 for a basic phone line (no features, no SAF) and I've got a free HDPVR till December.
danyo wrote: I was searching around for a good Rogers Cables Retentions thread but couldn't find one so I've decided to post the different offers I've been able to grab through retentions here.
Please add what you can get so I can update this with the hot offers people manage to get!

I called in saying Bell offered me a good deal on their Digital Extra package (I said they would give it to me for $45), and that I'd like to cancel all my Rogers services and move over to Bell for convenience. I got through to retentions this way. YMMV.

What I managed to get:
-$52 Digital VIP cable (20% discount, down from $64.99)
-$35 Rogers Extreme internet for 8 months (down from $59, student only)
-$6 discount on home phone services, free voice mail and call forwarding
-HD Box fees waived (thinking I should've asked for HD PVR)
-12 month contract

NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY (GTA):

-$35 Digital VIP cable
-Standard Box Rental
-Theme Pack (free for 3 months)
-12 month contract, $29 installation fee (after $20 waive credit)
** At Request: Can possibly also get you 3 months free Rogers Express internet, or 3 months of Rogers Extreme internet for $10.
Can only get this from Victor, who you could reach at (416) 823-4988.
Thanks to innacana for the original find

Any way to get a free HD-PVR with this?
Where it say "-Standard Box Rental" is that free or you have to pay that?
If you already have Internet, can a credit be issued on your account or some other promo offered instead?
Can this be combined with the $300 HD-PVR BB purchase + $100 programming credit?

No idea. I couldn't get the offer from Victor because I'm already an existing customer. You could probably try calling him to ask about it though, and then update us on what you can get. :)
I think the standard box rental is included in his offer, but don't quote me on that one.

I would think so. I don't think that changes the offer in any way if you bought a box on the side. Call Victor though, I really don't know TOO much of what he can do exactly. Let us know what you can manage to get from Victor though!

If I cancel the cable under my dads name for the home and then call in as a new customer and setup cable under my name for the home is that considered a new client/new installation??

So to get to Victor do we just say, may I speak to Victor? What is his last name? And can we say we heard about his deals from RFD?

Not sure. You should ask him that and let us know if that works and I'll update accordingly.

And yea, when I called I just say I heard about him through RFD. Didn't work for me though cuz I was already an existing customer.

EDIT:
NOT GTA EXCLUSIVE!
STEVE and VICTOR both appear to offer their deals wherever Rogers is available. :)

The new customer deal isn't only for GTA. I'm in Ottawa and I called Victor and he was able to hook me up.

So does that mean you go back to paying the full price when your contract ends?

Yep, that's how all of these extra savings promotions work sadly. But at the end of the term, you'd renegotiate of course.

my first yr promotions were due, recently renegotiated for my 2nd year running...

$40.13 for digital vip with free pvr for 12 months (2nd yr)
$46plus tax for extreme internet
$30 for wireless plan.

pretty sweet. :)

12 days north of Hop…
So I'm done my 2nd year of promos, and it's ending next month...

Right now I have Digital VIP with free PVR and digital services fee waived, all for 50.61 taxes included.

I called in last time and cited "Bell ExpressVu" with a made up plan, wonder if I can pull this same trick again? I'm happy if I can at least maintain my discount.

In fact I need to move my service this month as well...
