I called to sign up on Friday (new service) and was told the modem for 500 or Gigabit is OOS.
Best offer was $89 for 300 as the modem for 150/300 is in stock

Put in my cancellation notice through FB messenger. Gonna wait a week or I'll just call winback myself.

Really??
You mean 1000Mbps in only $44.99??
Is that internet only plan or you getting a bundle with tv plan or phone plan or both??

Have minor bias towards Rogers because have my phone plan through them, but could go elsewhere.

Called today to get a quote, basically the best offer I could get was $150 gift card/credit and then Ignite 150u for 69.99 first year or 75u for 64.99 first year. $29 activation fee. So with gift card and fee its about $10 more off per month, meaning around 60$ for 150u or 55$ for 75u.

Is this the best they can do? And then I'll have to haggle at the end of the year again to keep a decent rate? Can anyone recommend a better deal from another provider?

Any help appreciated!
Wjy not get fido or Virgin Mobile in this case.. Fido is $37.5 for 150Mbps and Virgin is $35 for 100Mbps ..
Both r giving $150 gift cards also..

Wow that was quick, got a call back from ambassador team and they offered $44.99 for Ignite 500 with old white modem or $49.99 with new modem + WiFi pods. I took the latter.
I love RFD! :)

I've called a few times this evening and am just getting people in Nova Scotia offering 500u for $65 w/tax.

Are people getting that call center as well?

Those who are existing rogers internet users, all you have to do is cancel the service and wait for the win-back call. I cancelled my service on October 3, 2020, and received the win-back call Dec 3, 2020. They offered me rogers ignite gigabit for $49.99.

Following this thread. my promotional Ignite 500u rate ends next year January 9. Tried to speak with a Rogers representative via Facebook messenger chat and they did not budge. Put in a cancellation request and hoping I get a winback offer/call...

Guys what is the average Upload speed you are getting with Rogers 500u or 1 Gigabit?.

Is the new modem the black ignite modem? So far they've been telling me the price is much higher for the ignite package.

salfclyahoo wrote: New customer. It was a Rogers rep that I dealt with two years back. I am iffy about him because he claimed that he had told me about the setup fee and I don't recall it because as a norm, I have never paid setup or installing fee to any provider.
The deal that I have is about the same price that I am paying Bell then. I left Bell because my discounts were ending soon and the $250 gift card was the clincher.
I was offered this too as a new customer but I honestly won’t ever use cable TV (TSN app for sports) so I think $75/mo for 500 and only $150 gift part is sufficient.

Can the Ignite TV app cast live programming to a TV?
I know this is possible with Bell Fibe, but can't seem to get a clear answer for Ignite TV.
This would prevent the need for additional TV boxes.

I'd be interested in any input of deals in the Fredericton, New Brunswick area.

I've been warned by 2 reps that if we put in a cancellation request for 30 days from now, that the legacy non-ignite option will no longer be available to us if we change our minds within the 30 day period. Is that BS?

Currently on the legacy system with
- 75U internet
- Select TV with 2 HD PVR boxes.
- home phone with all the features.
Paying $128.99 + tax

Not really interested in upgrading to ignite, but would if it's the only option for more savings.

Zoomer - Unlimited Canadian Talk+Text+1GB - $27/mo
