This thread is for the discussion of Rogers deals for new customers, retention offers, strategies, and requesting offers from Rogers reps on RFD. Discussions of competitors offers, small business promos, etc. should all be done in other threads.

If you're a Rogers rep who can provide offers to the community members of RedFlagDeals, please send me a PM and I'll add your info to this post. You're not allowed to promote your services yourself!

Only NEW Customers can request offers from Rogers Sales Reps on RFD. PM them directly, there is no need to make a post here, they won't see it.

EXISTING Customers need to follow the steps in the thread summary below. There are no retention/winback reps on RFD.

Thread Summary

Winback/Ambassador number no longer appears to be working as before. Calling the old Winback/Ambassador number always goes to voicemail.
They don’t appear to return calls.

If you do get a call after cancelling, its from Zedd Solutions (3rd party company working for Rogers).
Several members are reporting issues with the call dropping after they answer the call. It looks like there is a problem with how Zedd is handling call backs.
It does not appear to be a reliable method of getting a better deal from Rogers. Retentions appears to be offering better deals at the moment.
Process outlined below.

Theses are the numbers Zedd calls from. There may be others. They can’t be called back.

INTRO:

The priority of this thread should be Rogers Internet and TV deals discussion!
It was the place for existing and new customers to share the deals they secured and how they did it for the benefit of other members.
This thread has been cluttered and diluted with posts from people "looking for a rep" for new customers deals with very few reporting back if they heard from
a rep and what deal was provided.
Apparently, some of the reps want this kept on the down low and are asking members not to report back the deals they got so they don’t get in trouble with Rogers.
RFD appears to be willing to allow solicitation of customers via PM’s.

Note: Rogers Sales reps CANNOT help existing customers, existing customers need to follow the process outlined below.

HOW TO GET A DEAL AS AN EXISTING CUSTOMER:

These are the steps and CSR levels:

1 - first level - (888-764-3771). They will offer you rack pricing.

2 – loyalty/retentions - (888-764-3771) choose "change services" OR "cancel services". Depending on your account this is where you may get a good offer. YMMV
If you don’t get a helpful rep, make up an excuse to end the call and try again. Reps have very varied skill sets and experience.
The right CSR may still have access to Digital/Legacy deals. VYMMV

3 – use Rogers chat or Rogers Facebook. Some folks have reported decent deals using this option. YMMV

4 – check you existing MyRogers account for a highlighted banner indicating a special offer for you. You would have to accept online as CSR’s usually can’t see these offers.
Member have reported back some good offers.

5 – Cancelling may trigger a call from the Winback team at Zedd Solutions with a deal. If step # 2 above does not work. Call and request a cancellation date at least two weeks out.
If the rep gives you a hard time about cancelling, try someone else. You can set up a future cancellation. It can be reversed. Any fees can be waived.
**This method does not appear to be as reliable as before**

ACTUALLY, READING THE RECENT POSTS WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT DEALS ARE AVAILABLE.

Rogers is pushing hard to get customers off the Legacy/Digital system over to the new Ignite. My new deal for Ignite Internet came with a SmartStream box which is also used for TV.
I’m not impressed. My Firestick works much better for streaming services. The new Ignite Modem (XB7) works really well and provides great speeds if you have WiFi 6 devices.

The CSR levels are as follows:

Mon to Fri - 10am to 8pm Eastern Time
Sat - 10am to 6pm Eastern Time

HOW TO GET A DEAL AS AN EXISTING CUSTOMER:

EXISTING CUSTOMERS MUST CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE, USE CHAT OR FB, TRY TO NEGOTIATE AND IF THAT FAILS SET A CANCELLATION GIVING YOU TIME TO HEAR BACK FROM
THE WINBACK TEAM. CANCELLING DURING THE WEEK SEEMS TO YIELD BETTER CALL BACK RESULTS.
IF YOU DON’T HEAR BACK AFTER CANCELLING, CALL 866-600-9112 (WINBACK TEAM).
DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER IF YOU HAVEN’T ACTUALLY SET UP A CANCEL DATE! THEY WILL NOT SPEAK TO YOU WITHOUT A CANCELLATION IN PLACE.

From experience. when calling into Rogers to get a deal or complain about a problem ALWAYS ask to speak to the "cancellations/customer retention" department.

Rogers has oodles of call centres across the country, many that will pretend to have all of the capacity to deal the way the customer retention department can. In short, they do not! I think some of the Rogers call centres that I dealt with before finding this out are/were outsourced.

It helps too whenever possible to be courteous. Good luck!

I've got your cable/internet deals, + I only pay $9.99 for a basic phone line (no features, no SAF) and I've got a free HDPVR till December.

No idea. I couldn't get the offer from Victor because I'm already an existing customer. You could probably try calling him to ask about it though, and then update us on what you can get. :)
I think the standard box rental is included in his offer, but don't quote me on that one.

I would think so. I don't think that changes the offer in any way if you bought a box on the side. Call Victor though, I really don't know TOO much of what he can do exactly. Let us know what you can manage to get from Victor though!

If I cancel the cable under my dads name for the home and then call in as a new customer and setup cable under my name for the home is that considered a new client/new installation??

Not sure. You should ask him that and let us know if that works and I'll update accordingly.

And yea, when I called I just say I heard about him through RFD. Didn't work for me though cuz I was already an existing customer.

The new customer deal isn't only for GTA. I'm in Ottawa and I called Victor and he was able to hook me up.

Yep, that's how all of these extra savings promotions work sadly. But at the end of the term, you'd renegotiate of course.

my first yr promotions were due, recently renegotiated for my 2nd year running...

$40.13 for digital vip with free pvr for 12 months (2nd yr)
$46plus tax for extreme internet
$30 for wireless plan.

pretty sweet. :)

So I'm done my 2nd year of promos, and it's ending next month...

Right now I have Digital VIP with free PVR and digital services fee waived, all for 50.61 taxes included.

I called in last time and cited "Bell ExpressVu" with a made up plan, wonder if I can pull this same trick again? I'm happy if I can at least maintain my discount.

In fact I need to move my service this month as well...
