I called into rogers again trying to get my Internet price to 59.99 for the 100u. The lady said if she gave me the internet for that price then my cable bill would increase by $20 because I have a bundle deal.

Can't believe these people sometimes...

thanks to this thread I got a good deal from steve. My intentions was to get fairchild tv for my grandma and according to rogers.com I would pay roughly $60 a month. I got the digital lite package with fairchild for $36 a month and $9 off for the first 4 months. Really satisfied with it and I can watch cp24 in the morning. Only downside is that it is good for 1 tv but that is okay because it is basically for the living room for my grandma. I got installation the next day and waived as well

How dumb do these agents think people are?

Having cable should only be a positive, not increase the price by $20 because of "bundle" BS lol.

Anyway, people in this thread have gotten Ignite 100u for $59 with or without cable, homephone etc. Call that BS Out.

Just called and they offered $15 off Internet, $20 off Cable and $19.99 home phone with 3 features and free Canada/US long distance calling. So compared to my current retention deal, it's about $10 more. Also note that on Feb 24th Digital VIP and Internet prices are increasing by $3 each, so the retention deal locks the current price, so saved an additional $6 per month. Free HD PVR too.

For those of you who newly became Rogers customer, did you have to go through a hard credit check to open the Rogers account? I thought a hard credit check is required for post-paid customer?

Can you let me know how you got a hold of "Zara"? I tried online and on the phone with Bell and they can't get close to this price.
Hi, just look on the first page of the Bell Retentions thread. Her email is listed there

I recently signed my brother-in-law up for home services and was on the line pretending to be him as he was unavailable. The agent mentioned the system running a "soft" credit check, which doesn't impact your credit rating.

Is winback still active ? I didn't see anyone mentioning it in latest post, everyone seems to be going through retentions.

Existing customer. Tried yesterday, but no offer other than 59.99 for the first 3 months. Then I said I would cancel it, the receptionist actually proceeded with it. The cancellation date is in 30 days though...

Got my call out of the way and was satisfied with what I got....similar to above; 20$ off Cable and 15$ off Ignite plus the free PVR rental...locked in for 2 years. I 'm happy. All in all, I cut my bill by 25$ from what I was paying with my previous promos.

Thanks. I'll just wait for a couple of weeks. Worst case scenario, I guess I can still call in to push back the cancellation date....

I think I saw somewhere that the winback is gone. I'd be happy with the 60 locked for 2 years contract
