Had a good Rogers experience and thought I would share, as we tend to share the problems more..
Went in to BestBuy last night and got a new iPhone 7 Plus 128 on the promo for the weekend, and had to get my accounts rearranged to get the 2 Gb bonus added. While on the phone today getting it applied, had a great CSR so decided to see what they could do for the gigabit $74.99 deal. Had no luck so far going through chat and phone, but this guy put a note on my file and sent me off to retention’s. No issues, 5 minutes later I had the deal. Just keep at them, and be nice. Even if someone says you cannot get it, trust me, you can.
Shout out to zaidyboy for telling me to keep trying...

I was with them for TV package and 150u internet before but without the NHL Live.
I FB chat yesterday to cancel the TV and upgrade the internet to gigabit. They said I am not qualified for both google home and the NHL live...

So it's the TV + Gigabit unlimited internet for $99? What about any free PVR rental? Just curious as my Digital Plus TV (free PVR) and 250 unlimited internet deal is about to expire in Jan 2018, so looking for a deal.

Tech's laptop was having issues all day apparently and he wasn't able to diagnose anything. He or some other tech is coming by Thursday.100Pacer wrote: ↑ Best of luck. Late Friday I received a call from the local store telling me they had the brand new in box Gigabit modem waiting for me. Picked it up Saturday morning and after an hour with tech support ~150mbps so picked up a 2nd brand new in box Gigabit modem that afternoon and after another hour with tech support ~250mpbs. After 3 Gigabit modems, the 1st being defective supposedly, and all the hours wasted with tech support and management and chasing down a store with a replacement I had enough. Received $100 goodwill credit for my troubles and returned to 150u @ $50 including modem + HST for 12 months. This is assuming they actually have an Ignite modem available that functions properly.

None of my local stores have the Rocket modem in stock. Don't think Rogers would care as the monthly charge is the same so should I just keep using the BNIB Gigabit modem with the 150u rather than chase after a refurbished Rocket modem? Any issues from a technical point of view?

I apologize for the delayed response.
With retention, you can likely squeeze in a free HD PVR. If you're on the Digital Plus Plan, there is a good likelihood you're on rent to own for the PVR. I would start calling retention as soon as December hits to see what they can offer you if you were to extend. Holiday spirit, might get a jolly agent lol. Jokes aside, try messaging them on facebook chat.

I'm being quoted $141 tax included for Gigabit unlimited internet, Popular TV with Fairchild TV and free PVR rental. I could do cord cutting and go for Gigabit Internet for $75+tax = $85 per month. Debating if I should pay the $55 per month for cable instead of just getting Netflix for $14 a month.

Thought I'd share this in here as well...
edit: this deal = $74.99 for gigabit + google home

Here's my story...
- I have the Ignite 150u plan for $60/month
- Called them about getting this deal but was told they can't do it as it applies to new activation only
- The rep placed me on hold for 10 mins and came back with this offer
- $50/month for Ignite Gigabit for 2 years
- Signed up instantly
Good luck everyone!

Retention might have offered to jyd because their postal code qualified. This promo is postal code enforced (mainly for condos)DarkVelvet55 wrote: ↑ I want that reps name for life

I'm trying to get a deal for my grandma's account, but I'm much more familiar with Bell's pricing/service
Here is what she has now:
$30 - Internet 15, 50GB (promo expires saturday, bill increases $33)
$62 - Digital VIP
$20 - NA home phone
-----------
$112
Starting saturday her bill will become $145 and she's not down for that. Spoke to retention and they cant offer a new promo on the internet because that's an old plan.
Does anyone have suggestions?

Was on the 30mbps, 300gb for $40 promo set to expire next month. Called to cancel and received an offer for 75mbps, 500gb for $50. Sounds good for an internet only plan.

Originally had 250u package and was offered the Gigabit for $74.99/month but after going to the store to exchange the modem, was told I was passed the 5 day mark for the swap and had to call in to reactivate the deal. When I called in, I was offered the 500 package for $40+tax and grabbed that instead.

That's a very good offer, how long is that price good for? 12 or 24 months?
