Well hopefully they're willing to waive that as I've completely cancelled everything and moved on; otherwise, I'll just stay where I am.

At the end of the day, they either want some of my money or they want none of my money. I'll let the win back number make that decision. Knowing that there is a potential of this kind of deal floating around for new customers; I'm not settling for anything less (more so out of principle at this point).

I'm not aware that Rogers has a "win back number" can someone explain this?

I cancelled my Rogers services earlier this month (cable + internet). I received an email the other day saying the following:

Things just won't be the same without you. So, we're hoping that you'll give us an opportunity to win you back. Our dedicated specialist will work with you to address your concerns and make your experience better.

The email included a phone number (that goes straight to an agent) along with my reference number.

A month in advance... and call a ton of times over the month if you have to. Reason being robbers system can hold a deal 30 days in advance. For example say you got an excellent deal on aug. 1st. You can hold it to sept 1st when your current deal expires.

Thanks for the reply, I understand now. It would appear it took them sometime to send you an email after cancelling. Doesn't make sense for them to wait so long for a "win back" email. Do they thing customers aren't going to find another provider quickly? I've always found that you get better service as a new potential customer than a long time loyalty customer which makes no sense when it's easier and less work to keep an existing than to obtain a new.

I was surprised it took this long as well. Even when I called to cancel, all they did was ask for my reasons and I simply said I was sick and tired of having to call on an annual basis to make a pitch for a better rate only to have them treat new customers like gold. I switched my services to a company where I was paying the rate they were offering me through retentions WITHOUT me having to call on an annual basis. But I was anticipating getting one last ditch offer to retain me and it didn't happen (which is surprising after 11 years).

411...

Robbers is getting worse and worse. I found out robbers has deleted the concierge line. Now you have to call the 1888-764-3771 main line and ask for either retentions/customer relations/cancellations/loyalty and deal with them. This sucks. Now the hold time is way longer and you have to ask to be transferred to the former. The dedicated line stopped approx a week ago. Reason being with recent promo's all the lines were getting swamped and other lines were getting the overflow including concierge. Since they wanted "concierge" to be a higher level of customer service they didnt want the 5 and dime lower level calls to get through.

Just got signed up to Ignite 500u for $29.99 (inc modem) + tax. Good for 2 years. Having read the many other posts for condos etc I had a field rep knock at the door today and snagged a bargain. Originally told it was $49.99 but when going through there were additional discounts that even he was shocked at.

Note- Regular home, in Brampton North area.

Please merge with the other deals if need be however not seen anything at this price yet

This is so ridiculous, I'm here paying $78+tax for the same thing, and it ends up being a difference of $650 a year.

Does your field sales rep have a number?
I love RFD! :)

Shucks, so jelly at these prices.

Paying $90 after taxes for not even a 1/4 of that speed. Smiling Face With Horns

What’s your location? Maybe first three characters of your postal code?

Do you have other Rogers services? Just wondering if this is for "existing" customers only.

THe price is not increasing as confirmed by the rep and will once again confirm when I call in.

Yes many posts on this and hence the comment made to merge if need be, but not seen any post at 29.99.

It will increase.

You might want to dig a little deeper. It has been talked about in the other threads.

Talked about here:

No prior services with Rogers. As luck had it got a knock at the door and decided to proceed. Looked at the iPad screen myself before signing anything and confirmed the offer

If you're going to make yet another thread about this when there's an ongoing deals thread for this, prior ones having been moved to expired deals, a current one in Hot Deals, knowing it's very location specific, and by that, meaning postal code, and because a guy literally knocked on your door to offer specifically you this deal, why would you omit YMMV in the title? A clickbaity title isn't needed.

Unless your rep said to let everybody know his contact info so that he can hook them up too, this thread serves no purpose and offers even less than the other ones made prior.
