In other words, I accepted a promotion this morning which starts at the end of next month, can I tell them I changed my mind and no longer wish to accept it? Not entirely sure how that works....
Give chat a try. I had accepted $62.14 for Gigabit ( taxes included and no modem fees) on Nov 5th. I again chatted today and accepted $45.19 for Gigabit ( taxes included and no modem fees).

Agreed, but I'm not giving up yet. Going to enable true RFD mode.
I love RFD! :)

Was offered $56.49 taxes in for gigabit service or $50.84 taxes in for 500mbps service. I went for the full gigabit once my current promotion ends at the end of February.

Confirmed that I can downgrade to 500 service if I find I don't need it.... which I probably don't. But hey, $5/month more for double the speed. Can't wait to see how fast my Geocities page will load.

Called them couple weeks ago but they were not willing to renew and drop the price, only extend. Would be interested to hear if anyone managed to decrease their monthly price at renewal (keeping the same speed).
I paid $45 tax in now

Why are you being so sensitive? There is nothing wrong with discussing relevant alternative deals, not every comment has to be praising you for sharing the deal of the decade.

My Roger's contract for tv/internet/home phone expired a month ago. The best they offered was to keep the same price ($186), so I switched to Bell fibe for $110.

People with Bell FTTH (real fibre to the home) don't click on Rogers internet threads. That's weird.

It's hot for those who don't have access to FTTH.

Bell customer and contacted Rogers rep, gave me an offer of $50 for 1 year for gigabit, no contract, no modem rental or activation fee. Can I get better? Is it possible to get mesh wifi for free?

I appreciate OP's reminder, currently waiting in a queue on the chat. I also appreciate other RFD members opinions on deals (positive or negative). Currently on the $37.99/month plan, hoping to get it extended or a minimal increase.

Also to people who have Rogers gigabit, how is the service? Do you usually get 1000Mbs to the modem? How is the modem? Thanks

ok to be honest, i haven't been getting anywhere near 1gig for the server. All i've been getting is 400, so this 1 gig thing is a scam to begin with. Go with 500 you'll get 300 which is like way better for the value.

2 address with 1 gig with rogers, 8 technician visits, they couldn't get me near my 1gig and said this is what it is.

Thanks for no thanks.
