[Rogers] Rogers Ignite 500U $14.99+taxes YMMV

I saw a previous post about someone getting 500u at 19.99 + taxes.

Reached out to a chat agent last week to renew my existing ignite 500u, where i am paying $25

Previously was offered $45 to continue 500u.

I reached out to a chat agent again today. Initially was offered $39 and then she offered me $14.99 plus taxes. Its good for one year.

I am located in waterloo. Really weird how rogers work.

Edit: Attached chat log

Hard sell. The stiff me on the certain areas b.s. But was able to cut my bill in half. RFD must be the long wait times. Don't call.. use online chat. So they are bound by what is said.

Also when you go to save you need to copy and paste into notepad. Word etc. doesn't seem to work.

Wow! Great deal if you can get this price.

To all those on the other thread who got the $19.99 deal, looks like it's time for us to pick up the phone again! Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes

FTTH is usually available for new sub-divisions, or communities that have been recently upgraded by Rogers.

If your address does not support FTTH, you can heckle the Rogers rep all you want, they won't be able to give you the deal.
I have fiber but could not get these deals.

A Rogers door-to-door rep just visited this evening and offered $55/mo for 1gbps. I'm considering it since I've been wanting to move off my Bell DSL 50mbps due to recent reliability issues.

I'm at Dixie/Queensway in an older Mississauga subdivision. Can anyone comment if this is a decent deal for gigabit? Most of these crazy sub-$30 rates seem to be for new areas.

wow... crazy deal.

Currently paying $38.00 plus tax for 150u. That was the best I could get last time.

Just got 300u for $45.19 after taxes. Seems like that was the best they could do for me.

$55 month seems a little bit high. But you're not a current customer, so not sure how that plays out. I was paying $35 for gigabit before, and am paying $20 after I did the Rogers Online Chat, after I read that previous thread a month or two ago about the deals. I got lucky lol

Old part of Toronto (East York) and Gigabit has been ~$35-$40 per month as a "retention" offer here. I believe it was cheaper before ($30 maybe?).

Are these prices only for more isolated areas? Im living in downtown Toronto, and I thought I got a good deal with gigabit for $50.

Anyone getting this in dt?

Sorry for the slight tangent, but for those who have gigabit, how do you find the speed and wifi coverage if you're just using their default setup?

I think the DSL in my basement is struggling with the 15+devices so I'm thinking the router on the main floor with the x20 throughput should be much better.

OP, curious if you bundle many services with Rogers or if you're only paying for home internet to get this deal?
