Wanted to chip in with my experience,

For reference before I begin I live by warden and st.clair detached single home

I called into cancel the rep told me he would not offer me as that promotion ended and he could only offer me 49.99 for 500u or 69.99 for gb, told him to cancel the service by the next billing date.

Same day right after filing the cancellation I got an email (picture attached to the post) telling me to call a specialist with a customer reference number. The agent at that number told me they saw the price as the cancellation and I asked them if they are able to do 25 for 500u, she told me she can't do 25 but she can do 30 500u no contract for 12 months, or 39.99 for gb and this would be a discount guarentee and general price increases can still affect this. I took the 500u and the entire call lasted less then 5 minutes and she never even asked me for a postal code and it was very straight forward.Image

You are the worst. Thanks for killing the deal.
Maybe learn to read properly....that would help a lot to avoid problems.

Seems like I got one of the worst winback offers based on all the posts on this thread. (I live in a house, Toronto)
I called last month with scheduled cancellation end of August mentioning Bell offered something better, received an e-mail last week for win/callback.
Called in and the rep seems to have saw the notes of what Bell was offering me, and then offered $45 for 150U unlimited and modem included.
I didn't negotiate and took the offer as it was cheaper than Bell, but seems i could have got a whole lot more if I saw this thread earlier ...

This deal is for some houses too. They are targeting the houses and condos that got the bell fibre box. Because we got that and all of a sudden everything got easier to get better deals. Also when I called in for the offer I asked to speak to their management team, who checked my postal code and confirmed I'm eligible but need their presidents office to grant the deal. Waiting for a call back rn.

Also confirm this offer is on the table for houses (house in suburbs of Ottawa). Yearly discount cycle came to an end with monthly cost jumping from around 160 to 230 for popular (incl HBO/TMN)/150u/home phone so I called in to cancel all services (internet/tv/home phone), scheduled for end of billing cycle (early sept.), I mentioned expensive pricing and current promos from Carrytel and bundle offer from Bell when asked why I was cancelling. Listened and declined the terrible discounts on offer before proceeding with the scheduled cancellation.

Got a call back within hours being offered Popular TV (HD PVR in) and 500u for 74.99 guaranteed discounts for a year no contract. HBO/TMN thrown in for the year after politely asking for it. Not 100% certain I got the 500u for 24.99 as I haven't seen the breakdown of discounts but it must be close to it. Stellar offer that has me a happy rogers customer for another year.

Tried to go through facebook chat. I am on a 100U/10D mbps plan from 2 years ago and apparently I can't switch because my discount ends in November:
Regrettably, we can only change your discount within the last 30 days. if you could please reach out to us mid-October or early November so we can see what offers are available at that time.
Doesn't make sense since I'm not on contract and should be able to change my plan. Maybe I'm wrong about my plan not being on contract. Might have to go through the phone now.

Edit: Hm. After some questioning, I might be on 2-year contract. Don't really remember this but I guess it is what it is.
Your current discount began on Nov, 2016 and carries a 2-year term. If you were to cancel it at this time/change to a new discount, it would generate at $40 early cancellation fee.
Edit 2: Looks like I can get $55 guaranteed discount for 24 months off the 500U plan, coming at $82.48/month after tax (no contract). The $40 early cancellation would be waived. Looks like I'll do this first to waive the $40 and then see what I can do after when I'm not on contract. Hope this information helps someone.

Got this deal today. If anyone living downtown Toronto with a Condo or House, that needs a referral for the $25/month price. 500 mbps download and unlimited bandwidth. PM me.

This guy looks like he's the inside sales rep for the downtown Toronto area. He's aware of the ignite deal and does the Condo for downtown area, no issues with getting it. The rep knew exactly what I was calling for.

*** It's not available for all condos and house in downtown Toronto. Location dependent.

I called a Roger store and was able to get 500u for 29.99 for London Ontario
I'm interested in this as well. When the deal was available last time, I called to Rogers but the lady said my area is not targeted. I live in the downtown area and the apartment building is equipped with Rogers.

I've been following this thread for a while now
I tried to get the 24.99 plan for 500U for quite some time now. I was told that I have a very good price already and that my postal code is not eligible.
I tried through FB chat and I also tried through Twitter chat, I was given the "I'd love a promo like that too, let me check for you sir". Unfortunately after checking in was told my postal code is not eligible, which is BS. I told them my neighbor got the plan and her postal code is the same, and they said they can't comment on other clients and their promotions.
I kept trying FB chat and Twitter chat as I saw people on here getting the promotion.
Last year I tried the mgmt phone call and they told me I wasn't eligible.
I decided to try the mgmt chat and told them I wish to cancel, becauae I'm frustrated that my neighbor got the promo and I didnt . The mgmt rep told me that he would check my postal code, I said don't bother because it's been checked multiple times and it's not eligible. He said he would check to make sure, shockingly after he checked I was advised that my postal code IS eligible....(this is why I don't believe for a second it has anything to do with postal code as the very same day earlier I was told my a FB chat Rogers rep that my postal code wasn't, now the mgmt chat person is telling me that it is eligible)
So it was eligible, however he could not apply the promo of 500U for $24.99, he would have to escalate it to the Office of the President and they would call me back in 3-5 business days.
This morning I received a call from office of the President and the lady said she's sorry for delay and since I am eligible she would be happy to add it to my account and she wanted to confirm with me.
She double checked and offered me 500U for $24.99 or 1GB for $34.99. I took the $24.99 as it's more than enough speed wise.
She told me that it's not a contract it's just a promotion for 1 year and I could up it to the gigabit plan for $34.99 at anytime as the promo was on my account.

So in summary, what I've learned is:
-You have to keep trying
-It doesn't appear to be postal code specific
-For some reason it had to be elevated to the office of the President, not sure why as they are only ones that are able to add it.
-you may want to contact the president's office directly and get them to add it for you....not sure they do that or not.
-bottom line is keep trying, FB chat, Twitter chat, mgmt chat....I tried about a dozen times total...in the morning my postal code wasn't eligible through Twitter chat, in the afternoon my postal code was eligible through mgmt chat but only added by President office call.

Good luck everyone
The promo is there, persistence helps
Or threaten to cancel or cancel and they will offer it to you as a winback as lots of people on here have been getting calls offering promo on day of cancellation or 1 day prior

Enjoy

I kept trying different avenues as well, calling up to cancel and seeing what was the best I could get. I mentioned that neighbours near me (not necessarily same postal code) were getting 500u for $29.99 and was consistently met with "Oh that promotion ended a long time ago, we don't have that any more". I finally got online with Rogers Management Live Chat and said I'm frustrated that neighbours are getting 500u for $29.99 and I have been refused that promotion. Once again was met with "We don't currently offer that" to which I replied, "This is why I'm frustrated with the response from Rogers, because I know of people near me who received this promotion no more than 5 days ago." And she told me that sometimes there are special promos for condo buildings. Sensing that I wasn't going to get any further with that, I just asked what's the best price you can give me for 500u internet. Got it for $74.99/month, which is about $2 more than I was paying for 150u. So I took that. I'm in London, N5X area.

That's exactly how robbers wanted to handle your situation.
They called your bluff and signed you up for a higher priced plan and increased their ARPU.
Next time follow through with an actual cancellation.

Why can't you put a forward cancellation.. and wait.. of you don't get a call or email .. just call back on the day off and continue.. you have nothing to loose.

Think about it your paying $50/month more... $600 for 12 months.
