My building got upgraded to Rogers Fibre and I missed a Rep who came along offering 500 for 35, I tried to call back but no love from customer service. This was about 6months ago. I stuck with Carrytel cos they were giving me a solid service. Anyways, some Rep came around yesterday, wife got his card, I called him up today and now I'm getting 500 for 35, no contract, unlimited downloads, etc. Let's see how this works out
Once the building goes FTTH, you won’t be able to get CarryTel, TekSavvy cable internet services again. So once you leave, you can never go back. Stuck with Rogers, Fido, Bell or Virgin Mobile.

i live in ottawa and was offered both $29.99 for 500u and $39.99 for 1 Gb. keeping working the phone/chat until you get what you want.
Did you come straight out and ask them for that or did they offer it to you while you were asking?

I just chatted and was offered 69.99 for 150u for 12 months, plus 20 connection but they graciously waived the install feel. That's a big no thanks!

Could be the very last hour.
Would be interested to know, how long it takes them to contact you

Then I guess it's time we locked in these Fibre speeds at DSL prices

I received the winback email a few days before my cancelation date.

Well it’s not locked in if you have to go through this game every 12 months, and who knows if there will be a good price then.

Simply cancel after 12 months, move to another ISP and wait for the winback email or call.

I'm in Ottawa as well. I had to negotiate on the phone with them but eventually got gigabit for $39.99 and 3 months free! I also told them I was switching to bell who offered 500mbps for $25, they didn't seem to notice that bell doesn't offer those speeds in my neighborhood LOL

I had issues with the speed of the gigabit, had to put a call in, but the tech sorted it out and its 980mbps hard line and 580 wifi.

I'm not really sure. I was on the phone with him for 20 min. He was asking me to run the speed test, I'd keep running it, and he kept turning up the speed until it got to the right levels

Also wanted to add that 580 mbps wifi speed was when I use a Galaxy s9 plus. My older laptop could only hit around 300, my sons newer laptop hits about 400. So its definitely device dependent.
