[Rogers] Rogers Online Protection

I was online chat with their CS asking for better internet deal, and they informed me of a new roger service, free for roger internet customers, for online protection such as antivirus, antispyware, USB rescue, parental controls, etc.

anyone use this? is this just a big brother program to spy on users?
this was the link
I have windows 7 with free Avast antivirus, also windows 10 native antivirus software.
casual user only, toddler doesnt have access to internet yet.

worth it?

I would stay away from those. It is just a bundled antivirus software that is about as good as free software you already use.

Maybe this was just rebranding. The site doesn't state which brand is operating the antivirus

I am guessing behind this firewall it is an excuse for throttling or catching torrent users?

Stay away and if you must, you should get Malwarebytes instead. My personal favorite and lifesaver.
