I find it interesting that somehow every subsequent person is currently paying $10 less than the previous for Internet. The deal they offered me was very expensive (package deal)

It's $114 dollars on the Rogers website. It's funny the best deals come through retention. I'm in the market for faster service and willing to look beyond teksavvy... welp wtf would I consider Rogers if that's the quote their website gets me... if you want to retain my custom, in the future, maybe offer something more competitive up front.

I'm stuck with Gigabit for $65 but it's better what some are paying at least.

The best I could get last year was 50 bucks plus tax for Gigabit. I am up for renewal in a couple of months and I hope that I can at least secure that price again. I think I had the 500u for 35 bucks a month the year before that.

There is an entire Rogers Retention Thread in the "Ongoing Deals" subforum here. This is just a single datapoint in that thread which has been going on for years.
Yes OP got a good deal, but it's very unlikely that most people will be able to get it.

Do many of you actually use the full gigabit bandwidth for more than a minute? We have multiple stream s going on at once and barely break 300mb. It's nice to have the immediate buffer times on videos and dling games/updates and that's about it.

Damn I’m only getting 150u and paying $54 all in
My contract expires in a week. Last year I had to call and cancel, retention was useless.

I terminated 15 years of my relationship with Robbers after they refused to give me any offers back in March. (account in good standing in all these years). I cancelled my service and cut the cord. They didn't even call back. I'm now on Fido 150/20 service ($55/mo) and usually gets 250/20 on WiFi. Couldn't be happier. To hell with Robbers !ShotgunBobby wrote: ↑ I have the same price plan. I just got off the phone with them. They did not budge.

I was on the same plan and the system offer that was there is $64, I spoke to their management team about another account where they are charging me 94 after tax and they didn't budge in but renewed my current account which was at 35 at the 39 rate before taxNinjaSaves wrote: ↑ You will want to give it some time - from what I hear, placing a cancellation request for your end date and then waiting 1 week for an email to arrive is how it's done. But you definitely want to give it some room.
For myself I plan on contacting them 2-3 weeks before expiry.
