I've tried calling in to activate; the representative had trouble finding it but said he was finally able to activate it. I don't see it reflect in my login just yet and I haven't received an e-mail alert either (he said I would see one soon). So, waiting for now (edit: still waiting, no update in MyRogers and no e-mail alert).

(Edit 2: So despite receiving the text, super-LOL, I am not eligible for the offer. Apparently, its the same offer that was made available on Boxing Day 2020 and I had already availed it then. Good heavens what nonsense. Got to know this on Twitter support).

(Edit 3: A good 6 days after receiving the offer, its finally activated. This representative I just spoke to said it can be tricky activating multiple such add-ons when there were similar bonuses still active; she was talking about certain limitations Rogers imposes on both the account and the representative trying to help).

I just called the # and got it. I told them that I got the msg via SMS from the # "ROGERS", since I got promo SMSs from that # in the past. The rep looked it up and applied it to my 2 lines within a few minutes.

So I have 8gb 40$ plan and I never received a text. Then I called and pretended I got the text and I’m willing to activate the offer. The rep stated that it’s already activated and I have it for 24months. I checked my account because I didn’t believe her and it showed 13gb for $40.

I did the same thing and they said I already had since last year and it is good till May 2022. I was like what? I think they know people will not use it anyway cuz many of us are still staying indoor for the most time. By the time everything resumes normal they will stop giving those promo…

It was a regular text/SMS message along with a separate image (that I attached to my first post).

Likewise, I had to clarify how I got the text. No luck with it reflecting yet, though. I've reached out to them again on Twitter (call centres closed now). Lets see.

That's awesome. The chap I spoke to said I might have to wait for 24 hours which sounded utter woo. And I'm still waiting for it to be activated a good few hours later.

For those that have gotten this bonus, are you on Infinite (unlimited but throttle data) plans? Wondering if this is unique to non-infinite plans.

SOC / Feature code? Sorry, not sure I understood. There were no codes. Just what I've shared in my post above.

The CSR can tell you the name of the feature also known as soc code, it's what they add to your profile something like CDP for call display, VMX for voicemail etc. Once we know the name, we can simply call and refer to the code so that the rep doesn't have to check TMR (internal knowledge base) for the code

I am on the $75 (-$25 EPP Discount) Infinite 20 plan and got the text, so doesn't seem to be exclusive.

EPP usually misses out on these data bonuses too, so YMMV

Called in, I was eligible despite being a relatively new customer (May 2021) on an infinite EPP plan and not having received the text.

Edit: Extra 5gb now appears on my Rogers account, thank you OP!

It's all crap. I've been with Rogers 27 years and I get no "loyalty" offers. Just waiting for a call from Telus Winback any day now.

Haha darn I tried this as well (not EPP plan however) but the rep actually does a validity check against your account to see if you've genuinely received this offer on file. So unfortunately no luck for me. Beware YMMW!!
