[Rogers] UPDATE** $49.99 with $50BC 1yr **Rogers Ignite 1.5 Gigabit internet for $54.99 ***YMMV

While I was on Rogers Live Chat, I Inquired about internet and they basically offered to renew my deal. (Oh wait I did tell the rep that Bell offered me 1.5gbps for $40) It's $54.99 monthly for 1 year after the discounts.

They will send you a new modem and you can install it yourself or have the technician do it for you. You can set to receive the modem for a future date so that the new deal starts after your current deal expires. This is *YMMV for current customers and I don't know if new customers can get this deal.

UPDATE: called 1-866-930-4892 and I was able to get the $49.99/m 1.5gbps plan with $50 Bill credit but it's only for 1 year as I am an existing customer.

It's reported that some people were able to get $100 bill credit with the 1 year offer.

"standard" price for this should be 49.99 + HST for two years.

Are you guys quoting the bell price or just asking for discounts straight up?

Wow that's actually still pretty crappy, when in a downtown Toronto condo you can get 1Gbps each way unlimited for $50 and free router.

For anyone that's gotten this recently (for around the $50 mark), any luck with getting 6 months of Disney+ added as well?

OP, when you said new modem, do you mean this gigabit offer needs a “newer” modem? Mine is the black XB6 like this….

This is the max speed I can get, it's either this or 100mbps with Bell. 1GBPS is more then enough for me, also this is the 3rd year I'm renewing and no complaints with the internet service. Also no throttling like BELL service.

Oh no I get it, it's just Rogers offers this as a special deal and it's still not great compared to some companies. Shows how bad they are.

Beanfield.

And before you say it I know you can't get it, but it's an example of how companies can offer much better services and companies like Rogers just don't care and still fleece people when they can.

Rogers is such a joke man, these guys really push the bullshit pricing in areas where bell has no fibre.

I also don’t get what’s taking bell so long to get their act together and expand.

Chatted with a rep, got offered one of the worst plans I’ve seen in years.

You said it, Bell does the same thing. I'm not loyal any company, I try to get the best deal possible.
