I ported my number from Rogers to Koodo for the $50/9G plan then 2 days after I received this winback plan from Rogers.

15GB data ( not unlimited ) + unlimited nation wide call and text for $50/month
An Iphone XS 64G for $19.99/month
**The phone price is about $480 totally, but I need to pay the tax of its full price, which is $1285*13%. Then the actual price before tax is equivlant as $572.**
$300 credit for getting a new phone.
A ZTE tablet + 2GB data plan for free* ($1 tax)
2 year contract

Is this optional, or you need to buy/pay that:
An Iphone XS 64G for $19.99/month

It is optional, but the $300 credit is only for device purchase.

Why don't they offer this to existing customers before they port out without having to call loyalty. Seems like a lot of extra work. Why not retain customers in the first place

I received the same promotion. But I chose Telus peace of mind instead. The peace of mind plan is month to month. No contract. $60 per line (I have two lines ported over) 20 g. I chose Telus because this plan is 5g included no extra charge and the phone that Rogers offer even with the discount is not good good value. Just my opinion

When I swithced over from Rogers, I cancelled my old number for good, so I never got the offer. But I would never switch back after been with them for a decade, they seem don't care. Now I got 2 lines with Koodo $45/7G BYOD plus $10 credit for 15 month. Couldn't be more happier. Also $10 off for 300/300 with Telus fibre.

Is Rogers the only one with the US/Cda unlimited plan? I switched to it last winter but you have to have a 1yr hiatus from it if you change plans. Might not actually need it this winter though.

Does the $50 include a device credit? I know with the EPP's to get the base price you must get hardware (no BYOD).

As an example, the current EPP I can get is $53.13 for 20GB max speed, but the fine print below includes the hardware credit so the plan is actually $65.63.

OAC. Offer subject to change without notice. Limited time offers, while quantities last. Proof of employment is required (work ID badge or benefits card). Unlimited Plan with 20GB max speed price base of $75, less $12.50 hardware credit (will be applied 2nd or 3rd bill), less 15% employee discount, equals $53.13. Pricing for the secondary line 20GB plan is $75, less $10 Add A Line discount, less $12.50 hardware credit (will be applied 2nd or 3rd bill), equals $52.50. Financing price and hardware credit of $12.50 for new phone are for 24 months. A one time $40 connection fee applies on the first bill. For additional terms and conditions visit www.rogers.com/terms.

Wonder if you can keep the $300 on your account and use it at a later date for a H.W. upgrade

Have you tried calling them?
Maybe they will give it to you if you say you’re planning to leave.
They aren’t going to just hand out the plan automatically to millions of customers, and lose several hundred million each year.

Has nothing to do with that.
I swear, next to nobody in this forum has any idea how acquiring new customers works.
