The series 4 was cheaper during the sportchek deal
I’d wait before buying a series 3 unless it’s a better price

It’s a decent deal if you want a Apple Watch AND want to hook it up to LTE.

Besides working out or walking the dog I can’t think of any other reason I’m leaving my house without my phone but wth my watch

I just picked one up, $270 for the 42mm. You have to sign up for a $10 monthly 1GB plan, no contract. You get the first 3 months free, and there’s a $35 activation fee. I don’t have a cell plan with Rogers for anyone wondering if you need to.

So essentially it’s $305 for the watch and 3 months of 1GB LTE data, not a bad deal. Thanks OP.

Did you asked what happened if you decide to cancel after three months?

it says in Rogers Terms & Conditions that, “every early cancellation is subject to penalty of:1. Paying the full price for the item; 2. Early cancellation cellular charges; 3. Penetration of bodily tissue as deemed appropriate by a Rogers employee, although we do own our customers once they sign a contract with us; 4. All other penalties not listed in our Terms and Conditions and which are allowed under the new CRTC legislation.

I was able to PM Rogers with Bestbuy last year on a series 3. It's very YMMV but worth a shot. My local best buy didn't take an additional 10% off, they said it was already below their cost.

How did you sign up without having a cell phone plan with Rogers to attach it to? I thought the cellular function requires a linked phone number so that it can take calls and text messages.

They just linked it to a spare SIM card/phone number

Did you bring in this deal on paper or how did you ask for it? The deal here says 1 month free and you got 3... also, it seems like you have to have a rogers phone and they extend the number (according to their deal) but you have a standalone plan? Just wondering how you asked for it in store... looking to do the same.

I just showed them the link. They had to ask a couple of people/make some calls to get everything set up properly, but it all worked out in the end. As explained above they pulled out a new SIM card to link the standalone plan to that SIM card/phone number, which has no plan attached to it other than the $10/month smartwatch plan.

They had a bit of a hard time figuring out how to get it set up, and had to call in for someone to do it. I overheard them setting it up under plan# or code# ending in RB227 I believe.

In regards to the 3 months free, it says 1 month in a couple of places there, but if you click the see full details link towards the bottom of the page the it clearly states 3 months there, and the rep at the store told me it was 3 months before I even noticed that there.
