[Rogers Wireless] Apple Watch Series 4 Cellular 40mm/44mm $240/290 YMMV Rogers In-store only

Retailer:
Rogers Wireless
More offers from Rogers Wireless
Prices just dropped to $240 and $290 outright

May need to be an existing customer and sign up for the $10 smart watch monthly plan and pay a $35 set up fee.

Corporate stores should technically be able to sell it out right at advertised price. But I believe reps don’t make anything on outright device sales so they may save it for an activation.

No contract if you buy outright.
If you finance is $10 (plan) + $12.08/month (watch)

24 months to pay off. Pay off anytime.

You have to have a account with Rogers in order to sell otherwise it’s TOS

So I'm guessing this is for the aluminum models. I'm wondering...does Rogers offer the stainless steel models as well? I don't mind paying the difference, if they're discounted. Thanks!

Are you able to activate a post paid plan today, go get the watch and activate on a monthly plan, come home cancel the post paid plan and service for the apple watch the same day or a couple days later? Will it work as stores may not sell it outright due to they not making any commission as I am not a rogers customer.

As long as the watch is purchased outright, you can do that. What I've done in the past (with the iPad Mini 4) is go to the store and activate the device on whatever minimal data plan to qualify for the sale price (in this case the $10 watch plan). The moment you walk out of the Rogers store, you call Rogers up on the phone and tell them you wish to cancel the data plan. They will check to make sure the device is paid off, and they will cancel the plan. The only sticking point will be whether the $35 connection fee can be waived/refunded. You can ask the agent to waive it.

The only problem I see if you are not a Rogers customer AND if you are not an iPhone user is that Rogers may not sell it because they can't activate the device on your account if you don't have a Rogers iPhone. I haven't read the thread about the AW series 3 so I don't know if people have successfully purchased the watch outright without activation.

Got off online chat, rep said you have an option of purchasing it at the outright price but when i asked if they would be willing to do it, they dodged the question and just said you have the option of doing it lol.
