The contract should be 3 years instead of 2 for businesses
Turns out I'm wrong

From the fine print: Credit dependent on price of smartphone on a 2-year plan.

I'm on a bell small business plan which is also 2 years.. not sure if switching is worth it for me just for the bonus data as I still owe quite a bit on my device balance... but tempting.

I got a similar plan, at the premium plus level.

Base data 3gb
Bonus data 2gb + 1gb per line = 7gb shared total

90 first line -10%
75 second line - $5 - 10%

$500 credit per line on second bill

I went with two iPhone XS 64gb for $650 each... big upfront cost but I won’t have a cellphone bill for 7 months!

My bad, I just assumed it's 3 as business accounts weren't part of the 2 yrs limit law

Can anyone confirm that Costco can do this and for under 10 lines (that is what I had heard in the past).

Anyone know if I can transfer device discounts? I.e I have 5lines but only need 3 new devices. Can I apply 5 devices discounts across 3 devices or do I need to get a new phone to get the hardware discount.

I doubt it. I once tried to switch subsidies from one line to another and they didn't let me.

I have a 2 line business plan with bell, had a 3 line business plan with rogers in the past -- both through costco.

If you only need 3 new devices, you would probably get 5x200 port in credits and 3x300 device credits (assuming the device is $250 or more)
Depending on the device prices... may be worth taking the phones just to sell them if you don't need them.

Ok. I misread this. I thought that it was 500 port in PLUS the usual device discounts.

Looks like it would be cheaper for me to stay with videotron and buy the devices outright.

Thanks.

You still get the device discount (whatever is listed for the phone based on the plan you choose )-- it's not the outright price... but the price varries based on the plan you choose.

You are correct. I was on the Rogers website building a plan. You do still get the device discount... something like $400 for the most expensive iPhone.

This does hot IMHO.

Talked to Costco person and got the same offer and he mentioned its not a Black Friday deal.

Plan: 2 Lines
1. Unlimited Canada wide calling - is that means no Roaming right?
2. Unlimited calling to US
3. Unlimited Canadian Text - International means $5/line/month
4. 14 GB Shared data
5. US Roaming $7/day
6. Pixel 3 - Costs $500 - Credit $600.
7. iPhone X - Costs $525 - Credit $500

If I'm to take this plan with 4 lines
1. Is it going to be cheaper than $70/line
2. The lines has to be no Rogers family lines? etc: Rogers/Fido/Charter?
3. Will I pay for all the lines in one bill or we will get separate bills?
4. Is there any similar plans with Telus / or Bell?
5. Any other thoughts?

port in must be from other carriers. You can port out to prepaid and port back in.

if you don't need phones, you can sign up the byod 3 years business plans.

It was $40 3gb shared data. or $55 5gb.
You get $500 credits though.

I guess I'll wait for Black Friday and see if they have giftcard on top.

Could you provide more details on BYOD options? $40/line for 3 gb shared data?
If you're BYOD, what's stopping you from leaving? Is there a cancellation penalty?
