Anyone in Markham getting the deal?
Yes. In condo, but speed was very inconsistent and sometimes slower than 50mbps VDSL in some large download test. Gave up and went with cheaper and consistent speed from virgin mobile.

Facebook Messenger support.. currently paying 25$+ tax. This is 30$+...What's great is that it will be effective at the end of my promo!

"My pleasure! Thank you so much for letting me know. It didn't appear on the account but it does look like you're eligible for a particular promotion that's postal code specific :). What I can do then is apply that 12 month guaranteed discount for you effective March 27th. This would make your monthly pricing projection $33.89/mo after taxes and that guaranteed discount from the regular pricing post tax of $144.63.
I could apply this adjustment now to the account and it would take affect March 27th for you, would that work? - Andy"

I live in Markham. I got this deal yesterday after I was transferred to senior retentions/ management team. I got connected to them after I told them to cancel my services.

Initially spoke to 3 different reps 3 different times. All of them would offer 1 Gbps speed for 57.99.

I was on a 150mbps speed for 29.99 for 1 year which would have expired in Apr 2019. Thanks OP.

Went through Rogers Share a Concern chat and asked to extend my current promo ($28 tax in, 500u) but that was a no go.

He then offered me $39 tax in for gigabit, which I have asked to hold the quote until my current promo expires in March. I will keep trying for better quotes in the time being!

called the 600 number for our expiring in April u500/$24.99 plan and although we were not offered the same price, they offered us the same speed for $34.99 and we will accpet it. 12 month deal, Thanks guys.
edit...now when we called to confirm they put it under review saying the person shouldn't have offered us that price!

Last few times when threads like this one came up, I tried to call to get the deal ($25 for 500mbs, $30 for 500mbs) and I was informed by retention that it was postal code based. As bell does not have service in my area, best they could do is $50 for 500mbs.

Granted, other RFDers have reported $25/$30 for 500mbs that is not postal code dependent. Good luck.
From my experience - Robbers is a liar.
One afternoon, I called them, told that my friend got it for $25, the agent instantly said, it's not for my postal code. My contract was about to be end on next 27 days. I told them to cancel my contract at the expiry date. He agreed, and I got a mail too, cancellation confirmation.

On the same day evening, after 4 hours, another agent called from Robbers and told me that the previous agent was not aware that, it was available for my postal code, and if I was interested. I said, OK. and the deal was done.
I only response to real deals, otherwise I am blank

You should call them and ask to upgrade to the Gigabit plan for $34.99.

I've been on this plan since February last year, and for me, the price went up to $38 + tax for me last March.
Rep told me that my savings of 89.99 don't expire until 2020... Hope that there isn't another increase.
Rogers adopted this strategy from Bell. Bell had periodic increase ...at least twice a year. The guarantee is on the savings but not the amount you will pay.
So, if they increase the price, can we cancel with no penalty?

My current offer ends on March. I pay $135 all in for unlimited Gigabit internet (which I never could get that speed ever), home phone and VIP cable. They offer me $156 plus tax with a similar package except that the TV is premium. I am scouting for an offer from Bell. It looks like you have to skip them for a year and then they will dangle a more enticing offer to get you back. That's the game and we have to play it to save.
