Same I was offered $50.84, they would not go any lower than that.

I signed up for a 12 month deal in March. The rate was supposed to stay the same until March, 2020 but I noticed my recent bill increased by $6/month. I chatted with them and they said the deal doesn't apply to rate increases?? Anyone have this same experience?

This happened to me last year March or April and I chatted with them and they said that the rates were increased for everyone. I told them that I signed a two year contract the year before and if I were to opt out of that contract because the amount was increased, I'm sure they'd ding me with an early cancellation fee so how is it right that they guarantee an amount for two years then increase it within the contract period. Needless to say, they didn't decrease the monthly amount but the CSR ended up giving me credits for the amount of the increase until the end of my contract. I did this through Rogers website chat! They also don't send you a transcript of these things any more so I had to screenshot the important parts of the convo because I knew I'd be contacting them again before the end of the contract which of course happened and I had the info necessary to talk with the CSR at that time! So contact them and discuss.

Anyone have any recent amounts for their internet packages? I tried retentions and the amount provided wasn't satisfactory, so weighing options.

The most often cited number I see is about $50 for gigabit, $45 for 500, $40 for 300. That is assuming resale home (not new build), Toronto, area where Bell Fibe exists (if no Bell Fibe in your area, prices will be higher). New build townhome/condo + different area code may get better deals possiblyStallion86 wrote: ↑ Reviving this old thread.

Bell is quoting a much higher price for my zip code when compared to Rogers.HP_John wrote: ↑ The most often cited number I see is about $50 for gigabit, $45 for 500, $40 for 300. After talking to rogers customer service dept they are offering the same Ignite Internet 500 unlimited for $59.99 + taxes for next one year when i told i might cancel if not a good offer. Considering current covid situation and lack of other promos is this a good deal ?

I would tell them to go ahead & process a cancellation for a future date eg maybe a week or 2 away. It was only after I did that, a few days later I got a email saying to call Rogers office of the president (I think that's what it was, don't remember). Then they gave me a much better offer ($50 for gigabit, $45 for 500u) than what I got offered initially. If you just say you are thinking of cancelling, but don't put in a cancellation request, seems the offer isn't very goodStallion86 wrote: ↑ Bell is quoting a much higher price for my zip code when compared to Rogers.

Called - 1-866-737-4159 and did not get a good deal. So put in a cancellation request. Hope they call me back with a better rate.

Unfortunately I already deleted the email with the number on it. After I cancelled, they sent me a email with a number for Ambassador team, whom gave me a reasonable deal $50 for Gigabit, also offered $45 for 500uStallion86 wrote: ↑ Which number did you call?
