Call Fido. I got 75u for 32.50
Did u have switch modem? How far in advance should I call them? My plan expires on July 15? Is it too early? Should try Rogers first? Will Fido cancel Rogers for me?

My $45 for 150u just expired. Called yesterday and was offered 300u for $65. I reclined and put in my cancellation notice for 2 weeks from now.
I haven't got a call from winback yet...it's only been 24 hours. How long does it usually take?

My sister cancelled two weeks ago, they never called back. I don't expect decent promotion until mid or late June, when they see how the quarter is going.

Today I called them to cancel, here is what they offered to me

CAD 50 (including taxes) for 500 MBPS, unlimited
CAD 56 (Including taxes) for 1 GBPS, unlimited.

I took 1 GBPS, as that’s best option I was getting, also rep gave me 3 months free

Is there any value in me calling the winback team before they call me? Will they be able to offer me anything?

3 months free? Not too shabby. I only managed to get them down to $55 (after $50 credit) for 1Gb

I called and cancelled yesterday. I got a call from the Ambassador team offering me 500 for $39.99 w/ 3 months free. I was paying $29.99 before so I'm wondering if it'll be possible to get something better.

My promo of $28 (500u) expired one month ago. Received my ebill today and was charged $148 for last months service. Called Rogers explained I did not see the bill till today (1 month late) and said I was not in the house so I barely used the Internet. Was able to get the $120 credit and signed up for 500u for $50. Still a $22 increase per month.

Debating if for a single person 500u is too much, is the responsiveness of a lower tier Internet (300u or 150u) connection just as good as 500u?

BTW, the CS rep also told me one can put the service on hold for a month or so, may avoid charges when away from the home.

Minimum hold is 60 days.

Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums!

Temporary cable suspension offer is definitely a convenient service for snowbirds. I'd like to clarify that existing customers with a residential account and a minimum 3-month tenure can suspend their Cable services for a period of 2 to 6 months (60 to 180 days).

You can suspend your services twice in a 12 month period for a total of 6 months.

Example 1: If you suspend your service from January 31, 2017 until July 31, 2017, you'll be able to suspend your services again starting January 31, 2018.

Example 2: If you suspend your services from January 30, 2017 until April 30, 2017 and suspend them again from June 30, 2017 until September 30, 2017, you’ll be able to suspend your services again on January 30, 2018.
