Rogue, CX5 or CRV need your opinion??

Hello RFDer's,
Apologies for creating one more "need your opinion" thread, I am currently in the market looking for a new compact SUV and have narrowed down to Rogue, CX5 or CRV 2018 model. The reason am interested in an SUV is coz of the comfort it offers, ground clearance and some extra front and rear space (I m 6 ft tall guy). Also I have a kid with car seat.

I live in Toronto and looking to lease out for 3 years (within warranty gets over) 20k kms yearly. My budget is < 400$ monthly (inc tax). Since it would be my first car, I simply do not have much knowing of the nuances of them, except of what I keep reading thru the RFD threads.

1) What do you guys suggest I should go for, btw I have driven all these brands as I have been renting cars for some time now and out of all I like the CRV handling and fuel-economy however it is lil pricey compared to the other two above!
2) I am also leaning towards Rogue which I don't know seems popular in the market judging by I see them a lot, what do you guys think?
3) Once the car has been decided, my plan is to do the email bomb trick to all the dealers in GTA and ask for the best OTR price. I have generated Unhaggle and Carcost report for my legwork, any further suggestions to this?

Really looking forward for your help and wisdom?

What do you value more?
Cargo capacity
Fuel economy
Transmission (CVT vs Regular Automatic)
Power
Safety Features
Tech
Cost of ownership

Rogue is conservative and cheaper that's why there are so many + add rentals/fleets that's probably why there are so many around.

Test drive them all and see what you like/don't like. I'd probably rank them like this:

CRV - best all around CUV
CX5 - best looking, best driving feel
Rogue - best value/cheapest

We really don't need another one of these threads, these same choices have been discussed to death:

I’m in the same boat as you, but also considering the Hyundai Tucson and Ford Escape.

Thoughts?

If you can wait, get the new RAV4 coming out in January.

If not I'd get the CRV.

I was shocked to find out that the Rogue is the 4th best selling vehicle in USA. Right after the F-150, Silverado and Ram.

I have been a mazda cx-5 owner now for 3 years, its been great, haven't had a single issue with the car other then a couple of recalls. im at 70,000KM now, its been smooth sailing, still drives excellent, getting around 9.1L/100KM,

OP,

Get the Mazda CX-5. I can stress it enough. I went from a Honda to Hyundai to a Mazda and I have never enjoyed a car like the Mazda. I compared the CX-5 and CRV and the Mazda is more fun to drive and better looking (IMO). Also as far as I’ve heard the CRV suffers with oil dilution problems and in the winter, the cabin is very slow to heat up

You should also watch the AWD tests on youtube, before making a decision!

If you don't intent to keep it after the lease is over, any of the above mentioned will do as long as you like it. If you are planning to keep it for long, I would go for Honda, I have a 1994 Honda Accord and a 2007 Honda CRV, both still running fine with very little repair over the years except oil change, brake pads, rotors and new tires etc. Only major repair for the Accord are new brake lines and a new master cylinder and for the CRV a new A/C compressor.

Thanks to Nissan marketing, the sales number of the Rogue actually comes from two vehicles: the Rogue and an unrelated, Rogue Sport, aka Qashqai.

Rouge - It's least costly and that reflects in the overall quality of the vehicle as well (interior quality, driving/handling). If you don't care about these things, then get this.

CRV - Most spacious and techy. Not the best looking but interior quality and driving/handling is good. Most expensive of the 3 but good overall vehicle with decent fuel economy.

CX-5 - Stylish exterior and interior. Good handling and fuel economy. Interior looks class above the rest. This can run expensive too but overall best vehicle of the 3.

Numbers don't lie, but one may not care about the numbers.

I remember when Mazda came out with Skyactive, they were touting the fuel economy. Not so much any more.
