Some details for this offer that I found

Buy and activate a new Roku streaming device between 11/2/20 and 1/10/21 to claim this offer. You have until 1/10/21 to redeem.

Unfortunately, this offer is only available to new CRAVE customers only. See terms for details.

Valid payment method required.

More details here (not much more than ops link, just a blog post about it):

How do you like the tv? It’s on my boxing day list.

Yah, I think it's only available for folks who've bought new device. I bought a 32" TCL during BF-week and was able to activate the offer. I actually had an expired Crave account, and thankfully, the 2-month promo still applied to previously expired users.

Orrrrr just get what's in your budget and then get a Chromecast with Google TV or Firestick.

Roku OS is very basic and sometimes clunky. But honestly, streaming devices are so cheap, so if you're not satisfied with Roku's OS for streaming apps, just get a firestick or Google TV.

Also, Roku is a very restricted ecosystem and it can also lags behind when it comes to service offering. Took ages to get Crave on it

Roku supports Apple AirPlay now... makes it a definite winner for Apple device households...

I had ordered the Hisense Q9G (55") from Costco but it too forever to ship so I went to best buy and got a 65" TCL. The hisense just shipped and I couldnt cancel it.
So far I love the TCL, tried some upscaling, 4k, hdr and dolby vision. All fine after some tuning.
I think I'll keep the TCL, scared with the horrible reliability of the Hisense, plus a 65" makes a huge improvement over the 55.
And the TCL is generally better outside of HDR.

Edit: Love the roku media player and interface too, it's my first roku tv and dont regret it. Like it better than android.

With streaming boxes available I would say buy the best tv in your budget and forget what it runs because it will be outdated and/or limited soon anyways.

This. I REALLY love my Android TV OS on my Sony TV, but I'm pretty aware that it might be outdated in a few years.
I have a firestick and Google TV on my other TV's even if some of the are smart. The streaming devices are so cheap so don't bother with what OS your TV has.

Roku OS is amazing! I have both tcl and hisense and the tv runs really well. The only thing you can't load is iptv apps. Which Rogers is now blocking my service now anyway Confused FaceFace With Rolling EyesPouting Face
