not sure why you would need the 40V because the 20V is a BEAST. Likely the best tool that I own

The 40v Toro hedge trimmer is 140 at HD. Anyone know what's the difference?

I’ve had the 40v Dewalt hedge trimmer for over two years. It’s hot. A bit heavy but manageable. It rocks.

I belive they are killing off the 40v line, in favor of the 60v flexvolt.

Just as an FYI as they will be stopping production on the 40v batts too.

I think you're right. They are going to discontinue the line. However, three year warranty on product and I've had mine for two plus. I'll buy a replacement string trimmer if they do so and maybe a telescoping hedge trimmer. Dewalt is solid. If you move forward with the 60V great, but nothing wrong product wise with the 40v.

their one and only 40v mower (not the 2x20v one) had very bad reviews and maybe that's the reason why retail chain stores in Canada doesn't stock it. i was gonna try to expand my 40v tools line up but eventually migrate away from it.
