Rona Lowe's.
Confusing as heck.

At these stores SOME CLEARANCE ITEMS are on sale.
Under $100.00 up to 90% off
Under $500 up to 75% off
Over $500 %50% off.

The percentage of is on original price but some cashier's are running it at %90 off clearance price.

Very poor communication. And this is not standardized.

I bought circular 6 1/4 blades for $1 DeWalt and .60 Irwin.

Each store handling things differently.

Huge ymmv.

I've bought around 1800 worth of product for around $ 160.00 so far today.

My guess is that this only applies to stores that are permanently closing.

This is quite possibly the worst thread I’ve ever seen a user make in this forum. Ironic as OP even states in the post “poor communication”

Someone commented in a recent thread that their local store was closing. I assumed there were others as well and did a quick google search, but didn't check the dates to verify that it was a current list.

They're incorrect. The store is converting to Rona. Lowe's can't make up its mind how it wants to brand itself in Canada but we consumers benefit with their weird ass sales lately 🤣

Think op is saying cashiers were discounting additional percentage to items already on clearance. Let’s say regular price is 100 and it’s 90% off so price at till should be $10 but cashier taking additional 90% off that price so he is paying $1 instead of $10 making it a 99% discount.

But guessing it’s probably just that store and maybe just that cashier.

Rona Vaudreuil closed its doors a couple months ago and tons of stuff was 90% off. (It’s still open for materials, just not the storefront anymore). So this is probably the kind of thing the OP is talking about.
