Ordered for ISPU. Thanks OP!

Now that I've passed the "Buy now, think later" phase, can anyone tell me if this is any good?

Had it in my cart and was ready to checkout. Waisted too much time for the Rona voucher... Sigh.

Interestingly, my local Rona says on sale for $350 (save $850) and my local Lowes store says $850 (save $350).

If you can snag one for $350, that really is an awesome deal. I would love to get one, but I just got a charcoal BBQ last year. I am sure one cannot have too many BBQ's though Winking Face

If you mean the Welland Rona, it is showing 3 in stock. You may have to change your local store from St. Catharines.

Solid deal! What do you guys think about the reviews? Seem pretty divided: 11 people loved it (5 stars) and 7 people hated it (1 star) on the Lowe's website.

Afraid it may be a pricey lemon for $350+tax :s.

Was able to snag one at a different store after my main store reported out of stock during checkout.
Those are going fast!
Thanks OP!

Most of the bad reviews are for the gen 1 without pid. With pid supposedly much better. I was trying to pick this up cheaper than $850 that it was on clearance. Smoking hot deal.

Thank you so much OP

ordered for pickup.

Anyone ever have luck with showing up at the store if stock track shows 3 units? Debating going but for 1.5hr round trip... not quite worth if it's not there.

Drove there and paid for one. No fork lift driver on site until later. Can pick it up tomorrow. 1/3 left as someone else was also there doing the same thing.

Edit: a word

Can you share some of the reviews, can only find bad reviews with poor temperature management. We talking about the same thing?

Good deal OP. PID controller is generally considered a nice feature.

Some words of warning for those that are new to pellet grills....
  • I'm running the Princess Auto smoker of similar size and manufacturer origins. Just be aware that there are moving parts, electronics, and motors that are subject to break. Lots of aftermarket parts available on Amazon for this stuff. I've had to replace an igniter and auger motor thus far.
  • I've had to clear auger jams on a couple occasions. I now run my hopper empty after each cook to be on the safe side. Don't let too much sawdust get into the hopper and auger system!

Happy deal hunting.
Let's get rich together on RFD. Stay positive, stay frugal. 😃
