Price is great. Any concerns about battery replacement? Does lowes support their products with parts? I got burned at Canadian tire. Bought a driver, battery dies after 2 years, no replacement available.

YMMV. The 5aH battery is $399 for me (Ottawa).

Was looking for a string trimmer and blower... $309 - for Kobalt, $479 original price. Isn't that kind of on the high side? I'm comparing against better-known garden tool brands, and even power tool brands:

https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=trimmer+blowe ... ower+combo
https://www.ihlcanada.com/outdoors/leaf ... /?count=23

Any advice?

thanks...

Prices are okay if you need something for the rest of the season. Otherwise, wait another 4-6 weeks for real clearance prices. Good thing about Kobalt is that it's a Lowe's/Rona Greenworks rebrand, so the batteries should be interchangable.

I picked up a Scott's 19in mower with 5Ah battery for $288 at Princess Auto. It was brand new, not a refurb. They don't seem to have it on their website, but they have these refurbs for really cheap: https://www.princessauto.com/lawn-mower ... 65-060-055

Does it mean no sale if the website is showing the original price?

Nice, will try and price match at Lowes tmw. Maybe they'll do the 10% beat?

Batteries are NOT interchangeable. They are the same battery but different groves so they don't slide in without modification to the battery case.

This is quite easy to do. I modified my 80v Greenworks blower to accept existing Kobalt batteries I had. Took me about 10 minutes.

How hard is the opposite process? Mod the battery instead of the tool?

To fit the Kobalt battery into the Greenworks blower I had to grind off the extra rail on each side inside the battery compartment of the blower. So you'll need to groove out an additional slot on each side of the battery case. This won't need to be super precise, but it'll take a bit more work to line up than the way I did it.

Sounds slightly dangerous. Modding the tools probably the better idea.

Modifying the tool and/or battery voids the warranty, no?

Probably, although they'll likely do anything to get out of the warranty anyways
